Conner (15-117-1, 4-49-0) had a fabulous day but injured
his knee in the 3rd quarter and never returned. Carter (5-18-0,
5-30-0) was the next man up with Trey Benson Inactive. Carter
could have an active role in Week 17 if Conner misses.
Another run-heavy gameplan from the Falcons which was predictable
against the hapless Giants. Two pick-sixes by the Atlanta defense
soured any upside of the Falcons offense outside of Bijan (22-94-2,
2-9-0). 12 touches from Allgeier resulted in 31 yards.
First start for rookie Michael Penix Jr. resulted in 27 pass
attempts and zero pass TDs. Blair (1-17-0) had been on the practice
squad but gets reps in practice with Penix. He got the call up
and took a few snaps as London missed some time with a hamstring
issue. London (5-59-0) still led the team in targets with 8.
TE Charlie Woerner: 34 snaps (50.7%), 7.7% tgt share
TE Kyle Pitts: 30 snaps (44.8%), 7.7% tgt share
Henry (24-162-0, 2-27-0) found numerous running lanes in
this game but didn’t find the endzone. Hill left early with a
concussion and will likely miss Week 17. Keaton Mitchell will
likely see the field if Hill misses.
Nelson Agholor was Inactive. Just 23 pass attempts from Lamar.
Flowers (5-100-0) led the team with 8 targets, Bateman had 3.
They were the only two BAL wideouts to have a target in this game.
TE Mark Andrews: 47 snaps (75.8%), 26.1% tgt share
TE Isaiah Likely: 41 snaps (66.1%), 13.0% tgt share
Andrews (4-37-1) and Likely (3-29-1) were in their typical
roles and both found the endzone.
2 more TDs this week gives Cook 16 on the season! He’s averaging
5.1 yards per carry and is currently the RB5 on the week prior
to MNF on just 14 touches. Johnson and Davis combined for 12 touches
as the Bills continue to use all three of their running backs.
The Bills passing game took the week off as Allen threw for
just 154 yards and 1 TD. Cooper (2 tgts) remains only a Flex consideration
given his low snap share and the Bills use of four wide receivers.
Shakir (2-22-0) led the wideout with 6 targets. No receiver on
the team had more than 25 receiving yards.
TE Dawson Knox: 33 snaps (55.9%), 7.4% tgt share
TE Dalton Kincaid: 20 snaps (33.9%), 25.9% tgt share
The CAR/ARI game went to overtime which benefited Chuba (25-152-2,
4-13-0) as he scored the game-winning TD in the extra period.
He handled all but 4 running back touches for the Panthers and
continues to have a workhorse role.
Higgins (8-58-1) led the Cincinnati wideouts with 11 targets.
Chase’s TD came on a free play when the Browns jumped offsides
and the defense relaxed a bit. He finished with a 6-97-1 line.
TE Drew Sample: 49 snaps (87.5%), 3.6% tgt share
TE Mike Gesicki: 19 snaps (33.9%), 7.1% tgt share
TE Cam Grandy: 11 snaps (19.6%), 0.0% tgt share
Another example of why we can’t play Gesicki (2-14-0) when
the wide receiver corps is at full-strength.
We figured the Cleveland passing game would struggle to produce
points with DTR at quarterback and that’s exactly what happened.
He threw for just 157 yards. Jeudy (2-20-0) had just 3 targets.
TE David Njoku: 41 snaps (62.1%), 32.3% tgt share
TE Jordan Akins: 31 snaps (47.0%), 6.5% tgt share
Njoku (8-66-0) led the team with 10 targets but suffered
a knee injury in this game and will be a question mark for Week
17.
Zeke got one carry… from the one-yard line… and scored. Dowdle
(13-23-0, 3-28-0) could’ve used that TD considering he had a muted
game running the ball.
Lamb (7-105-0) had 100 yards at halftime but spent most of
the 2nd half on the bench due to his lingering shoulder injury.
No other wideout had more than 3 targets.
Jaleel McLaughlin was Inactive. Even with McLaughlin sitting
on the bench, that didn’t stop the Broncos from using three RBs.
Javonte had more receptions (7) than carries (4) but didn’t make
much of an impact on the fantasy scoreboard (53 yards). He led
the team in targets (11). Estime (9-48-1) found the endzone on
just 9 touches.
David Montgomery was Inactive. As expected, Gibbs (23-109-1,
4-45-0) handled the bulk of RB work including 27 touches. Reynolds
worked as the No.2 running back but had just 5 touches.
The Packers were hoping to lighten the load on Jacobs (13-69-1,
4-38-0) in this game and that’s exactly what happened as they
blanked the Saints 34-0. Wilson (11-52-1, 1-4-0) and Brooks (6-23-1)
combined for 19 touches and all three Green Bay RBs scored.
Watson (2 touches) left the game with a knee injury. Jordan
Love only threw for 182 yards and 1 TD. Wicks (3-13-1) led the
wideouts with 7 targets but Reed had the best stat line (3-76-0).
Mixon (14-57-0, 1-14-0) got 15 touches in a difficult matchup.
He led all running backs in Week 16 with an 82.4% rush share.
After an outstanding season, he’s now disappointed in three out
of the last four weeks in matchups against TEN, MIA and KC.
Dell (6-98-1) was on his way to his best fantasy game of
the season but suffered a dislocated knee cap on his TD catch
early in the 3rd quarter. Woods (6 tgts) and Hutchinson (1 tgt)
should pick up the playing time while Dell is out.
TE Dalton Schultz: 48 snaps (81.4%), 21.6% tgt share
TE Irv Smith: 18 snaps (30.5%), 0.0% tgt share
8 targets for Schultz (5-45-1) tied his season high back
in Week 6. His TD was just his 2nd of the season.
In a strong week for some of the top fantasy football running
backs, Taylor (29-218-3) was the best. However, he continues to
be absent in the passing game. Indianapolis had 50 carries between
A-Rich and the three running backs.
Bigsby (12-50-1, 1-1-0) lost a fumble in this game but received
the majority of the rushing work. Etienne (11 touches) is the
preferred passing-down back for the Jaguars.
The Chiefs have been giving Pacheco a slight edge in touches
over Hunt the last couple weeks but Hunt got the “hot hand” treatment
against the Texans, finishing with a 11-55-1, 2-24-0 line. Splitting
just 23 running back touches between two backs is going to make
both inconsistent Flex options at best.
Worthy (7-65-1) led the team with 11 targets and also left
the game briefly with an ankle issue but later returned. Brown
saw his first game action of the season and was predictably limited.
He did see 8 targets on just 20 snaps. His snap share should ramp
up as the Chiefs get ready for the playoffs.
TE Travis Kelce: 65 snaps (87.8%), 17.1% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 36 snaps (48.6%), 2.4% tgt share
7 targets for Kelce but there is no explosiveness from him
anymore. He’s a low-end TE1.
McConkey (6-87-0) once again led the Chargers in receiving
but no wideout saw more than 6 targets. 10 different receivers
caught passes from Justin Herbert.
TE Stone Smartt: 39 snaps (60.0%), 10.0% tgt share
TE Hayden Hurst: 8 snaps (12.3%), 3.3% tgt share
Will Dissly was Inactive. Hurst (8 snaps) was back in action,
but limited, after being absent since Week 10. Smartt (3-37-0)
may not be an option moving forward as Hurst ramps up and/or Dissly
returns from injury.
Just 19 pass attempts from Stafford as the Rams ran just
52 plays. Puka (8-56-0) led the team with 9 targets. No other
pass catcher had more than 3 (Kupp).
TE Hunter Long: 19 snaps (36.5%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Colby Parkinson: 17 snaps (32.7%), 5.3% tgt share
TE Tyler Higbee: 14 snaps (26.9%), 10.5% tgt share
TE Davis Allen: 12 snaps (23.1%), 0.0% tgt share
Higbee (1-11-1) saw his first game action of the season and
scored a TD on his lone catch.
Mattison (12-27-1, 4-29-0) and Abdullah (7-38-1, 5-47-0)
shared the backfield against the Jaguars. The two combined for
28 touches. Both are worthy options if you think the Raiders can
produce 70 plays in a game.
A disappointing game for Meyers (2-41-0) who had just 5 targets.
TE Brock Bowers: 70 snaps (94.6%), 35.1% tgt share
TE Michael Mayer: 45 snaps (60.8%), 2.7% tgt share
Bowers (11-99-0) led the team with 13 targets. He’s had double-digit
targets in 7 games this season. He led all tight ends in Week
16 with a 35.1% target share.
Another week with Mostert (10 touches) as the No.2 running
back. Wilson (2 touches) played instead of Jaylen Wright this
week. Achane (17-120-1, 6-70-0) continues to deliver especially
in the passing game.
Jaylen Waddle was Inactive. Good to see the high snap share
from Washington (3-28-0) but he had just 4 targets. Hill (3-29-1)
continues his underwhelming season.
TE Jonnu Smith: 37 snaps (55.2%), 19.4% tgt share
TE Julian Hill: 31 snaps (46.3%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Durham Smythe: 24 snaps (35.8%), 6.5% tgt share
Jonnu (6-62-0) saw 6 targets despite playing just 55 percent
of the snaps. He remains a mid-range TE1.
Jones (18-67-0, 3-26-0) got off to a quick start then cooled
in the second half but playing over 80 percent of the snaps is
ideal. Just 1 touch for Akers.
The Saints were first team be shutout this season, losing
34-0 to the Packers. Alvin Kamara was Inactive. 15 rushing attempts
were split between three RBs. None of them had success.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling was Inactive. When Austin (1-17-0)
plays the most snaps for your WR room, you’ve got issues. When
Pettis (7 tgts) leads your team in targets, you’ve got issues.
The Giants are now in the driver seat for the No.1 overall
pick in next year’s draft. Drew Lock threw two pick-sixes. Nabers
(7-68-0) and Wan’Dale (7-62-0) both saw double-digit targets.
Breece (14-52-0, 5-38-0) got the majority of RB work while
Allen (2-5-0, 1-5-0) and Davis (3-12-0) split the backup role.
This puts Breece back in the solid RB2 conversation.
Adams (13 tgts) continues to be the favorite over Wilson
(7 tgts) for targets leaving Wilson in Flex territory. Lazard
has a lock on the No.3 receiver role in this offense.
Barkley was back in form, posting a 29-150-2 line with zero
receptions as they leaned on him with Hurts missing most of the
game. Gainwell saw just 5 touches.
Jalen Hurts played just 12 snaps before leaving with a concussion.
Brown (15 tgts) and Smith (8 tgts) were the only two Eagles’ wideouts
to see a target. Smith had a costly drop late in the 4th quarter
that could’ve changed the outcome of the game against the Commanders.
Brown led all wide receivers in Week 16 with a 60.0% target share.
Warren (12-48-0, 5-44-0) saw more action than Najee (9-42-0)
in this game. This was the gameplan according to the TV announcers.
Will it continue in Week 17?
George Pickens was Inactive, but reportedly has a better
chance to play in Week 17. Austin (4-65-0) led the Steelers wideouts
with just 5 targets. He’s just a flex option at best even with
Pickens out of the lineup.
The 49ers used Deebo (5 carries) as their backup running
back. Just 9 touches for Taylor (8-24-0, 1-1-0) as the 49ers leaned
on Purdy and the passing game.
40 attempts for Purdy. Deebo (7-96-1, 5-25-0) looked like
the Deebo of old, breaking tackles and making plays. It was his
best fantasy game since Week 6. Jennings (6 tgts) took a back
seat to Deebo and Kittle this week.
TE George Kittle: 63 snaps (98.4%), 24.3% tgt share
TE Eric Saubert: 10 snaps (15.6%), 2.7% tgt share
Kittle (8-106-0) tied Deebo for the team lead with 9 targets.
No work for Sean Tucker in this game. White (3-10-0, 7-50-0)
is the preferred option on third downs and in the two-minute drill,
making him better in PPR leagues. Bucky (16-68-1, 3-24-0) saw
the bulk of the rushing work and scored.
The Bucs used 6 wide receivers and all of them had at least
1 catch. Shephard (1-20-0) injured his hamstring. McMillan (5-57-1)
is on a three-game heater scoring four times in that span. Evans
had 8 targets and needs 182 yards over his last two games to reach
1000 for the season.
TE Payne Durham: 67 snaps (93.1%), 16.3% tgt share
TE Ko Kieft: 12 snaps (16.7%), 0.0% tgt share
Cade Otton was Inactive. Durham (7 tgts) stepped right into
Otton’s role and played most of the game.
Pollard (8-35-0, 2-5-0) came into the game with an ankle
injury and ceded some work to Spears (10-27-2, 3-39-0). Spears
now has 4 TDs in his last two games.
A rough game for Robinson (10-24-0, 2-17-0) who fumbled twice.
McNichols and Rodriguez combined for 9 touches. Jayden Daniels
(9-81-0) did most of the damage on the ground for the Commanders.
5 TDs for Daniels in this game against the Eagles. Two apiece
for Zaccheaus (5-70-2) and Crowder (2-15-2). McLaurin (5-60-1)
had just 6 targets but made the most of them.
TE Zach Ertz: 48 snaps (70.6%), 5.6% tgt share
TE John Bates: 24 snaps (35.3%), 2.8% tgt share
TE Ben Sinnott: 5 snaps (7.4%), 0.0% tgt share
Just 3 combined targets for the Washington TEs. Sinnott was
a non-factor with Ertz in the lineup.
