Depth Chart

After Chubb's release, Ford becomes the elder statesman in the Cleveland backfield. Despite showing flashes as a moderately used backup (his 5.4 yards-per-carry average last year was a career high), the Browns invested two draft picks at the position, pushing Ford down the depth chart. With Quinshon Judkins dealing with legal issues, Ford's spot on the roster, and his fantasy value are temporarily alive. At best he's a committee back that could share time with the rookie Sampson. At worst, Judkins returns, and Ford gets bumped down the depth chart. Until that happens, Ford is probably worth a risk at the end of your draft or as a waiver wire add.

The #Browns are signing second-round RB Quinshon Judkins to his fully guaranteed deal, sources say. All draft picks are now under contract. Judkins legal situation is behind him after no charges were filed, though the NFL is still conducting its investigation. (Ian Rapoport on X) FFToday's Take: Judkins is one step closer to playing, but it remains to be seen when that will be. The NFL is still conducting it's investigation into battery charges that were later dropped by prosecutors. Until Judkins gets on the field, the Browns will move forward with Jerome Ford and rookie Dylan Sampson as their main two running backs. The Browns faceoff with the Bengals in Week 1.

Browns running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, according to Broward County arrest records. Judkins is facing a charge of battery and domestic violence. A Browns spokesman says the team is aware and gathering more information. (Cleveland.com) FFToday's Take: The Browns rookie running back has been charged with Misdemeanor Battery (Domestic). He has yet to sign his rookie deal. We'll wait on further information on this unfortunate situation. Cleveland currently has Jerome Ford and rookie running back Dylan Sampson in the mix for playing time in 2025.
