Jaguars HC Doug Pederson announced that TE Evan Engram will undergo season-ending surgery for a torn labrum. (Adam Schefter on X) FFToday's Take: Engram missed the first two practices of the week and now will miss the remainder of the season. This puts and end to a disappointing 2024 campaign for Engram who finished as the TE6 last season, leading the position with 114 receptions. Brenton Strange will likely take on a larger role at TE for the Jaguars over final weeks but won't be a recommended fantasy option.

(Tom Pelissero on X) FFToday's Take: Rumors surrounding a potential trade involving Kirk had been circulating this week. This injury will obviously prevent any deal from happening. The Jags used both of their tight ends in the passing game today including backup Brenton Strange (5-59-0) who saw 5 targets. The passing game will continue to focus on Brian Thomas Jr and TE Evan Engram moving forward.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson believes TE Evan Engram, who has not played since Week 1 due to a hamstring injury, is likely to return for Sunday’s game in London vs. the Bears. “I think the chances of him getting back in here this week are pretty good,” Pederson said. (ESPN - Adam Schefter) FFToday's Take: While Engram's absence has not been the sole reason Trevor Lawrence has struggled for parts of the 2024 season, it has contributed. Engram went over the century mark in catches last season and, in theory, should take some defensive attention away from Brian Thomas Jr. and Christian Kirk when he is not supposed to be the primary read. Brenton Strange has filled in nicely during his absence, but Engram offers more game-breaking ability and should serve as a top 10 option at tight end moving forward.
