Usage Notes: Week 3

By Mike Krueger | Updated: 9/24/24

Each week, I’ll look at snaps, usage, touches, target shares and pull out the highlights you need to know from each game.

ARI | ATL | BAL | BUF | CAR | CHI | CIN | CLE | DAL | DEN | DET
GB | HOU | IND | JAC | KC | LAC | LAR | LV | MIA | MIN | NE
NO | NYG | NYJ | PHI | PIT | SEA | SF | TB | TEN | WAS

Arizona

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB James Conner: 44 snaps (74.6%), 50% rush share, 2.9% tgt share
RB Trey Benson: 2 snaps (3.4%), 11.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

Just 18 rush attempts for the Cardinals as they had trouble sustaining drives. Emari Demercado (12 snaps) was on the field more than Benson.

WR Marvin Harrison Jr.: 52 snaps (88.1%), 32.4% tgt share
WR Michael Wilson: 53 snaps (89.8%), 26.5% tgt share
WR Greg Dortch: 39 snaps (66.1%), 17.6% tgt share
TE Trey McBride: 50 snaps (84.7%), 17.6% tgt share

No other WR than the three above played more than 3 snaps. Harrison led the group with 11 targets. Concussion for Trey McBride.

Atlanta

Offensive Snaps: 61

RB Bijan Robinson: 50 snaps (82%), 64% rush share, 7.4% tgt share
RB Tyler Allgeier: 13 snaps (21.3%), 28% rush share, 0% tgt share

Running lanes for Bijan simply weren’t there against the Chiefs. Workload remains solid.

WR Drake London: 61 snaps (100%), 33.3% tgt share
WR Darnell Mooney: 57 snaps (93.4%), 29.6% tgt share
WR Ray-Ray McCloud: 58 snaps (95.1%), 11.1% tgt share

The Falcons continue to play their top 3 receivers at a high rate. All are worth owning as a result.

TE Kyle Pitts: 42 snaps (68.9%), 18.5% tgt share

The Chiefs got pounded by tight ends the first two weeks. Atlanta threw the ball to Pitts just 5 times.

Baltimore

Offensive Snaps: 63

RB Derrick Henry: 37 snaps (58.7%), 55.6% rush share, 6.7% tgt share
RB Justice Hill: 26 snaps (41.3%), 11.1% rush share, 13.3% tgt share

Ravens in the lead is the perfect setup for Henry. Resulted in 26 touches (25-151-2, 1-23-0). Lamar’s rushing (14 carries) takes away standalone value from Hill who is the clear No.2 back.

WR Zay Flowers: 42 snaps (66.7%), 26.7% tgt share
WR Rashod Bateman: 39 snaps (61.9%), 26.7% tgt share
WR Nelson Agholor: 38 snaps (60.3%), 6.7% tgt share

The Ravens running success resulted in just 15 pass attempts from Lamar. Flowers and Bateman led the team with 4 targets.

TE Mark Andrews: 21 snaps (33.3%), 6.7% tgt share
TE Isaiah Likely: 39 snaps (61.9%), 6.7% tgt share

Only two targets and 1 catch between the tight end duo. Ouch. Still scratching my head about the low snap count for Andrews. Charlie Kolar played more snaps (26). WTF?

Buffalo

Offensive Snaps: 64

RB James Cook: 32 snaps (50%), 37.9% rush share, 16.7% tgt share
RB Ray Davis: 12 snaps (18.8%), 24.1% rush share, 3.3% tgt share
RB Ty Johnson: 18 snaps (28.1%), 10.3% rush share, 10.0% tgt share

The Bills had the luxury of playing all three of their backs given this game was over at halftime. 15 touches for Cook who looks dynamic and an easy top 10 fantasy back.

WR Khalil Shakir: 35 snaps (54.7%), 20.0% tgt share
WR Keon Coleman: 20 snaps (31.2%), 3.3% tgt share
WR Mack Hollins: 46 snaps (71.9%), 6.7% tgt share
WR Curtis Samuel: 17 snaps (26.6%), 10.0% tgt share

Coleman missed the first quarter of the game for team disciplinary reasons. Shakir (6 targets) seems to be the most valuable fantasy asset of this group for the moment. MVS (49 snaps) played a lot in this game as the Bills ran out the clock in the 2nd half.

TE Dalton Kincaid: 34 snaps (53.1%), 16.7% tgt share
TE Dawson Knox: 33 snaps (51.6%), 6.7% tgt share

Nice to see Kincaid (3-41-1) find the endzone but he’s not going to get the volume to make him a true top-tier fantasy tight end.

Carolina

Offensive Snaps: 74

RB Chuba Hubbard: 43 snaps (58.1%), 67.7% rush share, 13.5% tgt share
RB Miles Sanders: 31 snaps (41.9%), 22.6% rush share, 5.4% tgt share

Nice game from Chuba who topped 100 yards rushing and had 26 touches. He’s a Flex option moving forward. I don’t expect this offensive explosion most weeks from Carolina so Sanders remains off the fantasy radar.

WR Diontae Johnson: 64 snaps (86.5%), 37.8% tgt share
WR Adam Thielen: 23 snaps (31.1%), 13.5% tgt share
WR Xavier Legette: 44 snaps (59.5%), 8.1% tgt share
WR Jonathan Mingo: 49 snaps (66.2%), 10.8% tgt share

Red Rifle to the rescue! This could end up being Dalton’s best fantasy game of the season, but… 14-target game for Diontae Johnson. He’s back in the WR2 conversation with the change at quarterback. Thielen left late in the first half, injuring his hamstring on a TD grab.

Chicago

Offensive Snaps: 90

RB D'Andre Swift: 48 snaps (53.3%), 46.4% rush share, 8.3% tgt share
RB Roschon Johnson: 33 snaps (36.7%), 28.6% rush share, 10.4% tgt share
RB Khalil Herbert: 9 snaps (10%), 14.3% rush share, 0% tgt share

Swift (15 touches) taking advantage of a weak Colts run defense didn’t materialize. Instead, Roschon (12 touches) saw his first meaningful action of the season. He’s should be on your radar.

WR D.J. Moore: 86 snaps (95.6%), 20.8% tgt share
WR DeAndre Carter: 57 snaps (63.3%), 12.5% tgt share
WR Rome Odunze: 89 snaps (98.9%), 22.9% tgt share

Bears scored 16 points on 90 offensive plays. 52 attempts from Caleb led to Moore and Odunze receiving double-digit targets.

TE Cole Kmet: 73 snaps (81.1%), 22.9% tgt share
TE Gerald Everett: 30 snaps (33.3%), 2.1% tgt share

Breakout game for Kmet (11 tgts) who finally got the bulk of the snaps and usage at TE over Everett.

Cincinnati

Offensive Snaps: 62

RB Zack Moss: 47 snaps (75.8%), 60% rush share, 15.8% tgt share
RB Chase Brown: 15 snaps (24.2%), 35% rush share, 7.9% tgt share

Seeing Moss in on the two-minute drill is painful for Brown owners. Moss (17 touches) is working as the clear lead back. Just 9 touches for Brown.

WR Ja'Marr Chase: 61 snaps (98.4%), 18.4% tgt share
WR Tee Higgins: 56 snaps (90.3%), 15.8% tgt share
WR Andrei Iosivas: 48 snaps (77.4%), 18.4% tgt share

Trenton Irwin was inactive. We knew this was a good matchup for Chase and he delivered (6-118-2). Higgins (hamstring) didn’t appear to have any restrictions and had some quality scoring opportunities but couldn’t convert, catching half of his six targets.

TE Mike Gesicki: 31 snaps (50%), 13.2% tgt share

Bengals are playing three tight ends which caps Gesicki’s upside.

Cleveland

Offensive Snaps: 67

RB Jerome Ford: 53 snaps (79.1%), 55.6% rush share, 11.4% tgt share
RB D'Onta Foreman: 11 snaps (16.4%), 11.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

Pierre Strong Jr. was Inactive so we should see a Foreman get some action, right? Wrong. Just 2 carries for Foreman and 12 RB runs overall.

WR Amari Cooper: 60 snaps (89.6%), 34.3% tgt share
WR Jerry Jeudy: 60 snaps (89.6%), 20.0% tgt share
WR Elijah Moore: 54 snaps (80.6%), 8.6% tgt share

TE Jordan Akins: 45 snaps (67.2%), 20.0% tgt share

Watson and the Browns passing game continues to struggle. The Cleveland QB has yet to throw for over 200 yards in a game. After a couple duds, Cooper (12 targets) found the endzone twice.

Dallas

Offensive Snaps: 80

RB Ezekiel Elliott: 15 snaps (18.8%), 18.8% rush share, 4% tgt share
RB Rico Dowdle: 37 snaps (46.2%), 50% rush share, 40% tgt share
RB Hunter Luepke: 30 snaps (37.5%), 0% rush share, 6% tgt share

Not much work for Zeke in a game where the Cowboys we’re trailing all day. Zeke and Dowdle are borderline Flex options.

WR CeeDee Lamb: 71 snaps (88%), 14.0% tgt share
WR Brandin Cooks: 64 snaps (80%), 12.0% tgt share
WR Jalen Tolbert: 60 snaps (75%), 10.0% tgt share

Disappointing that Lamb wasn’t a bigger part of the Dallas comeback in 4th quarter. Dak (51 attempts) was spreading the ball around (11 different receivers) on his way to 379 passing yards.

TE Jake Ferguson: 53 snaps (66.2%), 22.0% tgt share
TE Luke Schoonmaker: 25 snaps (31.2%), 4.0% tgt share

Ferguson missed last week with a knee issue, but led the team in targets (11) in Week 3. Probably a little light on snaps, but expect to see him on the field more moving forward.

Denver

Offensive Snaps: 68

RB Javonte Williams: 35 snaps (51.5%), 17.9% rush share, 11.8% tgt share
RB Jaleel McLaughlin: 18 snaps (26.5%), 17.9% rush share, 2.9% tgt share

In a game that Denver led throughout, Tyler Badie (9) got more carries than Javonte (5) and McLaughlin (5) as did QB Bo Nix (9).

WR Courtland Sutton: 50 snaps (73.5%), 32.4% tgt share
WR Josh Reynolds: 35 snaps (51.5%), 5.9% tgt share
WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey: 50 snaps (73.5%), 23.5% tgt share

Humphrey was second in snaps and target share among the Broncos wideouts which is somewhat of a surprise. Rookie Devaughn Vele was Inactive. Volatile usage for this group to start the season.

TE Greg Dulcich: 17 snaps (25%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Adam Trautman: 46 snaps (67.6%), 2.9% tgt share

Tight end in Denver is gross. Nothing to see here.

Detroit

Offensive Snaps: 68

RB Jahmyr Gibbs: 31 snaps (45.6%), 37.2% rush share, 0% tgt share
RB David Montgomery: 35 snaps (51.5%), 53.5% rush share, 13.6% tgt share

This was a David Montgomery game who had 23 carries, topped 100 rushing yards and had 3 targets.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: 65 snaps (95.6%), 36.4% tgt share
WR Jameson Williams: 48 snaps (70.6%), 13.6% tgt share
WR Tim Patrick: 34 snaps (50%), 4.5% tgt share

Low passing volume from the Lions this week. Just 23 attempts from Goff. Patrick has taken over Kalif Raymond’s spot at the No.3 receiver. No fantasy value though given all the other weapons in this offense.

TE Sam LaPorta: 43 snaps (63.2%), 9.1% tgt share
TE Brock Wright: 47 snaps (69.1%), 22.7% tgt share

LaPorta left before halftime with a sprained ankle. There’s a chance he plays in Week 4 but his upside is capped given the Jameson Williams usage we’ve seen through 3 weeks.

Green Bay

Offensive Snaps: 63

RB Josh Jacobs: 33 snaps (52.4%), 37.8% rush share, 5.3% tgt share
RB Emanuel Wilson: 26 snaps (41.3%), 32.4% rush share, 10.5% tgt share

Wilson got more involved this week which cut into Jacobs’ snaps and workload. Not surprising considering Jacobs had 32 carries last week.

WR Jayden Reed: 36 snaps (57.1%), 31.6% tgt share
WR Romeo Doubs: 46 snaps (73%), 10.5% tgt share
WR Christian Watson: 34 snaps (54%), 10.5% tgt share
WR Dontayvion Wicks: 29 snaps (46%), 10.5% tgt share

Just 19 attempts from Willis. Six receivers had at least 10 snaps. This low volume and high WR participation isn’t going to lead to fantasy production from the wideouts. Reed led all receivers with 6 targets. We may see Jordan Love next week.

TE Tucker Kraft: 42 snaps (66.7%), 15.8% tgt share
TE Luke Musgrave: 35 snaps (55.6%), 5.3% tgt share

Kraft continues to lead this duo in playing time and target share.

Houston

Offensive Snaps: 67

RB Cam Akers: 29 snaps (43.3%), 64.3% rush share, 7% tgt share
RB Dare Ogunbowale: 28 snaps (41.8%), 0.0% rush share, 4.7% tgt share

Akers (10 touches) found the endzone but the Texans got caught in a negative game-script which allowed Dare to see increased snaps.

WR Nico Collins: 55 snaps (82.1%), 23.3% tgt share
WR Stefon Diggs: 57 snaps (85.1%), 27.9% tgt share
WR Tank Dell: 45 snaps (67.2%), 14.0% tgt share

Dell continues to run third behind Nico and Diggs in snaps and target share.

TE Dalton Schultz: 64 snaps (95.5%), 11.6% tgt share

The loss of Brevin Jordan (ACL) elevated Schultz’s snap count. Cade Stove (15 snaps) isn’t a threat to Schultz for now.

Indianapolis

Offensive Snaps: 56

RB Jonathan Taylor: 49 snaps (87.5%), 69.7% rush share, 11.1% tgt share
RB Trey Sermon: 5 snaps (8.9%), 6.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

24 touches for Taylor who sees incredible usage when the Colts are in a positive game-script.

WR Michael Pittman Jr.: 47 snaps (83.9%), 27.8% tgt share
WR Alec Pierce: 43 snaps (76.8%), 11.1% tgt share
WR Adonai Mitchell: 7 snaps (12.5%), 5.6% tgt share
WR Josh Downs: 32 snaps (57.1%), 27.8% tgt share

Just 20 pass attempts from Richardson this week. This passing game isn’t producing any reliable receivers. Mitchell’s snap share took a hit with the return of Downs. Pittman and Downs led the wideouts with 5 targets.

Jacksonville

Offensive Snaps: 71

RB Travis Etienne: 49 snaps (69%), 64.7% rush share, 13.6% tgt share
RB Tank Bigsby: 9 snaps (12.7%), 11.8% rush share, 0% tgt share

Quality role for Etienne (15 touches) but the struggles of this offense is affecting everyone, including the RBs. D'Ernest Johnson saw 12 snaps.

WR Gabe Davis: 54 snaps (76.1%), 13.6% tgt share
WR Brian Thomas Jr.: 52 snaps (73.2%), 20.5% tgt share
WR Christian Kirk: 52 snaps (73.2%), 22.7% tgt share

Kirk and Thomas combined for 19 targets but Lawrence and backup Mac Jones threw for just 200 yards. Gabe leads this group in snap share through 3 weeks, but is third in target share (17.8%).

TE Brenton Strange: 50 snaps (70.4%), 11.4% tgt share

Evan Engram was Inactive. Strange is a nice fill-in but this offense is struggling at the moment. Trevor Lawrence has completed just 52.8% of his passes through 3 weeks.

Kansas City

Offensive Snaps: 74

RB Carson Steele: 46 snaps (62.2%), 51.5% rush share, 5.6% tgt share
RB Samaje Perine: 28 snaps (37.8%), 18.2% rush share, 11.1% tgt share

This is roughly the workload split we figured would happen for KC. Steele (18 touches) worked mostly on early downs. Perine (9 touches) was more active in the passing game. Steele is flex-worthy as long as Kareem Hunt remains inactive.

WR Rashee Rice: 55 snaps (74.3%), 38.9% tgt share
WR Xavier Worthy: 37 snaps (50%), 11.1% tgt share
WR Justin Watson: 29 snaps (39.2%), 5.6% tgt share
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster: 41 snaps (55.4%), 8.3% tgt share

14 targets for Rice (12-110-1) who left briefly for injury in this game. Increased usage for JuJu who found the endzone. He’s not on the fantasy radar yet until his target share increases.

TE Travis Kelce: 57 snaps (77%), 13.9% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 37 snaps (50%), 5.6% tgt share

Rice has taken over has the dominant option in the passing game which means Kelce is no longer a top tier TE until the Chiefs offense picks up steam.

LA Chargers

Offensive Snaps: 46

RB J.K. Dobbins: 30 snaps (65.2%), 75% rush share, 15.8% tgt share
RB Gus Edwards: 16 snaps (34.8%), 15% rush share, 0% tgt share

46 plays are insanely low. Gus barely touched the ball in the first half and is losing his grip on being fantasy relevant.

WR Ladd McConkey: 33 snaps (71.7%), 31.6% tgt share
WR Quentin Johnston: 37 snaps (80.4%), 10.5% tgt share

Chargers allowed Herbert to play with a high-ankle sprain but he couldn’t finish the game. Now face Kansas City in Week 4 with Taylor Heinicke at QB? Palmer was Inactive. This passing game is muted, but QJ and McConkey are the only fantasy considerations at receiver in this offense.

TE Hayden Hurst: 28 snaps (60.9%), 10.5% tgt share
TE Will Dissly: 23 snaps (50%), 15.8% tgt share

The tight ends are splitting snaps making this situation a fantasy wasteland.

LA Rams

Offensive Snaps: 58

RB Kyren Williams: 52 snaps (89.7%), 92.3% rush share, 8.7% tgt share

Ronnie Rivers had 6 snaps otherwise it was the Kyren show which included 3 TDs. One of the true workhorse backs in the league.

WR Demarcus Robinson: 54 snaps (93.1%), 17.4% tgt share
WR Tyler Johnson: 29 snaps (50%), 17.4% tgt share
WR Tutu Atwell: 43 snaps (74.1%), 21.7% tgt share

Whittington was 4th in snap rate (37.9%) among the Rams' WRs. Just 25 pass attempts for Stafford.

TE Colby Parkinson: 58 snaps (100%), 21.7% tgt share

Nice usage for Parkinson but just a 3-21-0 line.

Las Vegas

Offensive Snaps: 64

RB Zamir White: 14 snaps (21.9%), 65.5% rush share, 0% tgt share
RB Alexander Mattison: 28 snaps (43.8%), 18.8 % rush share, 7.7% tgt share
RB Ameer Abdullah: 22 snaps (34.4%), 0.0 % rush share, 5.1% tgt share

It’s clear that White (10 touches all carries) isn’t going to play a lot when the Raiders are in a negative game-script. He’s also losing valuable goaline touches to Mattison. Stock sinking.

WR Davante Adams: 61 snaps (95.3%), 23.1% tgt share
WR Jakobi Meyers: 59 snaps (92.2%), 23.1% tgt share
WR Tre Tucker: 52 snaps (81.2%), 23.1% tgt share

All three starting wideouts for the Raiders had 9 targets. Tucker is the deep threat in this offense and is too volatile for most fantasy leagues.

TE Brock Bowers: 42 snaps (65.6%), 10.3% tgt share
TE Michael Mayer: 31 snaps (48.4%), 7.7% tgt share

We’d like to see Bowers snap rate increase along with his route-run rate (60%) but he remains a solid TE1 option.

Miami

Offensive Snaps: 61

RB De'Von Achane: 45 snaps (73.8%), 61.1% rush share, 16.1% tgt share
RB Jeff Wilson: 14 snaps (23%), 16.7% rush share, 0% tgt share
RB Jaylen Wright: 13 snaps (21.3%), 11.1% rush share, 0% tgt share

Raheem Mostert (chest) was Inactive. 14 touches for Achane but the offense struggled and never found the endzone. Wilson and Wright split backup duties behind Achane.

WR Tyreek Hill: 46 snaps (75.4%), 16.1% tgt share
WR Jaylen Waddle: 51 snaps (83.6%), 16.1% tgt share
WR Braxton Berrios: 17 snaps (27.9%), 3.2% tgt share

Miami’s offense doesn’t function without Tua. Skylar Thompson left early with a chest injury which left them with Tim Boyle at QB. Hill, Waddle and Achane all had 5 targets. Downgrade this group while Tua is out of the lineup.

Minnesota

Offensive Snaps: 63

RB Aaron Jones: 38 snaps (60.3%), 67.9% rush share, 24% tgt share
RB Ty Chandler: 22 snaps (34.9%), 25% rush share, 0% tgt share

24 touches for Jones who was very efficient (5.4 yards per carry, 9.2 yards per reception) in a game the Vikings controlled. Chandler remains a hold.

WR Justin Jefferson: 57 snaps (90.5%), 32.0% tgt share
WR Jalen Nailor: 54 snaps (85.7%), 16.0% tgt share
WR Brandon Powell: 27 snaps (42.9%), 8.0% tgt share

Jordan Addison was Inactive but expected back in Week 4. Nailor has been working as the No.2 wideout with Addison out.

New England

Offensive Snaps: 52

RB Rhamondre Stevenson: 24 snaps (46.2%), 40% rush share, 0% tgt share
RB Antonio Gibson: 19 snaps (36.5%), 33.3% rush share, 12.5% tgt share

Perhaps due to the short week, but the Pats gave more work to Gibson (8 touches) in Week 3. Don’t think this a trend and I expect Rhamondre (6 touches) to have his lead-back role moving forward.

WR K.J. Osborn: 39 snaps (75%), 0.0% tgt share
WR Demario Douglas: 43 snaps (82.7%), 37.5% tgt share
WR Tyquan Thornton: 17 snaps (32.7%), 4.2% tgt share
WR Ja’Lynn Polk: 26 snaps (50%), 8.3% tgt share

The Patriots threw for 120 yards. Yuck. None of these receivers are worth having in fantasy football.

TE Hunter Henry: 33 snaps (63.5%), 12.5% tgt share
TE Austin Hooper: 30 snaps (57.7%), 16.7% tgt share

Too many snaps and targets for Hooper in this game, affecting Henry’s production.

New Orleans

Offensive Snaps: 56

RB Alvin Kamara: 48 snaps (85.7%), 89.7% rush share, 13.0% tgt share
RB Jamaal Williams: 10 snaps (17.9%), 3.4% rush share, 13.0% tgt share

Heavy usage for Kamara included 29 touches. He’s had one of the best RB roles through three weeks.

WR Chris Olave: 45 snaps (80.4%), 26.1% tgt share
WR Rashid Shaheed: 42 snaps (75%), 21.7% tgt share

Just 25 pass attempts from Carr. Saints passing game came back down to earth. Zero catches for Shaheed despite 5 targets.

TE Foster Moreau: 40 snaps (71.4%), 8.7% tgt share
TE Juwan Johnson: 28 snaps (50%), 0.0% tgt share

Taysom Hill was Inactive. Johnson is not a fantasy option given his low usage.

NY Giants

Offensive Snaps: 72

RB Devin Singletary: 49 snaps (68.1%), 50% rush share, 12.1% tgt share
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.: 22 snaps (30.6%), 15.6% rush share, 6.1% tgt share

20 touches for Singletary in a positive game-script for the Giants. Still has the lead-back role but lacks upside.

WR Malik Nabers: 61 snaps (84.7%), 36.4% tgt share
WR Darius Slayton: 59 snaps (81.9%), 6.1% tgt share
WR Wan'Dale Robinson: 43 snaps (59.7%), 24.2% tgt share

It’s Nabers or bust in this passing offense. Slayton hasn’t topped 4 targets in any game.

TE Theo Johnson: 58 snaps (80.6%), 9.1% tgt share

Snap rate is encouraging for the rookie tight end but he isn’t earning meaningful targets.

NY Jets

Offensive Snaps: 73

RB Breece Hall: 52 snaps (71.2%), 48.5% rush share, 14.7% tgt share
RB Braelon Allen: 23 snaps (%), 31.5% rush share, 8.8% tgt share

I mentioned last week that Allen played well enough to earn a role and that happened in Week 3. Breece started the game but Braelon came in on series #2. Breece will still have a solid lead-back role, but has lost the “workhorse” label for now.

WR Garrett Wilson: 64 snaps (87.7%), 26.5% tgt share
WR Allen Lazard: 61 snaps (83.6%), 8.8% tgt share
WR Mike Williams: 33 snaps (45.2%), 11.8% tgt share

Williams is till third on the depth chart behind Lazard but we likely would’ve have seen more Williams had the game been closer. Rodgers mentioned after the game that the first three opponents for the Jets have all focused on taking away Garrett Wilson.

TE Tyler Conklin: 67 snaps (91.8%), 17.6% tgt share

Conklin’s first solid game of the season (5-93-0). Finished second on the team in targets. Still a TE2.

Philadelphia

Offensive Snaps: 72

RB Saquon Barkley: 58 snaps (80.6%), 68% rush share,11.1 % tgt share
RB Kenneth Gainwell: 14 snaps (19.4%), 0% rush share, 8.3% tgt share

Monster game for Barkley who took 21 touches for 156 yards and 2 TDs.

WR DeVonta Smith: 55 snaps (76.4%), 27.8% tgt share
WR Jahan Dotson: 63 snaps (87.5%), 8.3% tgt share
WR Parris Campbell: 36 snaps (50%), 5.6% tgt share

Smith took a hard shot in this game. Hopefully he’s good to go for Week 4. If not, we may see more of Parris Campbell. Dotson has 5 targets through 3 games.

TE Dallas Goedert: 62 snaps (86.1%), 30.6% tgt share

Huge game for Goedert as he got loose for a 61-yard reception. His 11 targets led the team.

Pittsburgh

Offensive Snaps: 68

RB Najee Harris: 40 snaps (58.8%), 58.1% rush share, 16.1% tgt share
RB Jaylen Warren: 23 snaps (33.8%), 9.7% rush share, 3.2% tgt share

Warren didn’t play much in 2nd half due to a knee issue and Najee has an arm issue. Cordarrelle Patterson (23 snaps) is the next man up.

WR George Pickens: 50 snaps (73.5%), 22.6% tgt share
WR Van Jefferson: 11 snaps (16.2%), 0.0% tgt share
WR Calvin Austin: 37 snaps (54.4%), 16.1% tgt share
WR Scotty Miller: 38 snaps (55.9%), 6.5% tgt share

Increased playing time for Scotty Miller but he’s not fantasy relevant given this offense. 55-yard TD for Austin makes his fantasy day.

TE Pat Freiermuth: 55 snaps (80.9%), 16.1% tgt share
TE Darnell Washington: 35 snaps (51.5%), 0.0% tgt share

5 targets for Freiermuth who just another part of the mundane tight end position in fantasy football.

Seattle

Offensive Snaps: 64

RB Zach Charbonnet: 54 snaps (84.4%), 78.3% rush share, 12.1% tgt share

With Kenneth Walker inactive the Seahawks are comfortable giving Charbonnet (21 touches) the majority running back work. Kenny McIntosh saw just 10 snaps. This workhorse role makes Charbonnet one of the best handcuffs in the league.

WR DK Metcalf: 53 snaps (82.8%), 24.2% tgt share
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 56 snaps (87.5%), 9.1% tgt share
WR Tyler Lockett: 36 snaps (56.2%), 24.2% tgt share

Lockett led the wideout group with 8 targets but finished with just a 5-46-0 line. Take note that JSN out-snapped Lockett by a significant margin.

TE Noah Fant: 28 snaps (43.8%), 18.2% tgt share

The Seahawks are playing multiple tight ends which isn’t great for Fant. Despite this, he caught all six of his targets for 60 yards.

San Francisco

Offensive Snaps: 71

RB Jordan Mason: 53 snaps (74.6%), 55.9% rush share, 6.7% tgt share
RB Isaac Guerendo: 10 snaps (14.1%), 14.7% rush share, 0% tgt share

Purdy ended up carrying the ball 10 times in this game. Workhorse role for Mason continues but rarely used in the passing game.

WR Brandon Aiyuk: 57 snaps (80.3%), 33.3% tgt share
WR Jauan Jennings: 60 snaps (84.5%), 40.0% tgt share
WR Ronnie Bell: 30 snaps (42.3%), 10.0% tgt share

No Deebo this week. Purdy threw the ball 30 times. Aiyuk and Jennings combined for 22 targets. Jennings’ monster game (11-175-3) included a 40% target share which led all receivers in Week 3.

TE Eric Saubert: 61 snaps (85.9%), 6.7% tgt share

No Kittle this week allowed Saubert to play the majority of snaps but he saw just 2 targets.

Tampa Bay

Offensive Snaps: 57

RB Rachaad White: 42 snaps (73.7%), 37.5% rush share, 18.8% tgt share
RB Bucky Irving: 18 snaps (31.6%), 56.2% rush share, 9.4% tgt share

More rushes for Bucky (9) than White (6) this week and the results were predictable: 7.8 ypc for Bucky, 2.8 ypc for White. At some point we may see White become strictly a third-down back.

WR Mike Evans: 47 snaps (82.5%), 9.4% tgt share
WR Chris Godwin: 51 snaps (89.5%), 28.1% tgt share
WR Jalen McMillan: 44 snaps (77.2%), 3.1% tgt share

A tough matchup for Evans against Patrick Surtain led Baker to look elsewhere. Godwin (9 tgts) has scored in each of the Bucs first three games.

TE Cade Otton: 52 snaps (91.2%), 25.0% tgt share

Otton (8 tgts) had his best game of the early season (7-47-0). Still a TE2.

Tennessee

Offensive Snaps: 54

RB Tony Pollard: 34 snaps (63%), 54.5% rush share, 11.8% tgt share
RB Tyjae Spears: 20 snaps (37%), 18.2% rush share, 11.8% tgt share

This committee continues to favor Pollard who is operating as the lead back. Low play volume this week resulted in just 9 touches for Pollard and 6 for Spears.

WR Calvin Ridley: 39 snaps (72.2%), 8.8% tgt share
WR DeAndre Hopkins: 25 snaps (46.3%), 20.6% tgt share
WR Tyler Boyd: 38 snaps (70.4%), 11.8% tgt share
WR Treylon Burks: 26 snaps (48.1%), 11.8% tgt share

We welcome DeAndre Hopkins (7-6-73-1) to the 2024 NFL season this week. He led the team in targets and production despite being 4th in snaps among TEN wideouts. Knee is likely still an issue.

Washington

Offensive Snaps: 59

RB Brian Robinson Jr.: 45 snaps (76.3%), 50% rush share, 4.3% tgt share
RB Austin Ekeler: 13 snaps (22%), 9.4% rush share, 8.7% tgt share

Ekeler missed a big chunk of this game due to a concussion. 17 touches for Robinson who did find the endzone but only amassed 37 yards. He will have a big role in Week 4 if Ekeler misses.

WR Terry McLaurin: 50 snaps (84.7%), 26.1% tgt share
WR Dyami Brown: 34 snaps (57.6%), 8.7% tgt share
WR Luke McCaffrey: 20 snaps (33.9%), 13.0% tgt share

Low pass volume for the offense (23 attempts) but McLaurin hit on two big plays, one for a TD. He’s the only viable fantasy wideout given the nature of this offense. Noah Brown played just 13 snaps.

TE Zach Ertz: 38 snaps (64.4%), 21.7% tgt share
TE John Bates: 33 snaps (55.9%), 0.0% tgt share

Ben Sinnott saw 26 snaps but didn’t see a target. Ertz is still the TE1 in Washington.
