Ravens in the lead is the perfect setup for Henry. Resulted
in 26 touches (25-151-2, 1-23-0). Lamar’s rushing (14 carries)
takes away standalone value from Hill who is the clear No.2 back.
The Ravens running success resulted in just 15 pass attempts
from Lamar. Flowers and Bateman led the team with 4 targets.
TE Mark Andrews: 21 snaps (33.3%), 6.7% tgt share
TE Isaiah Likely: 39 snaps (61.9%), 6.7% tgt share
Only two targets and 1 catch between the tight end duo. Ouch.
Still scratching my head about the low snap count for Andrews.
Charlie Kolar played more snaps (26). WTF?
The Bills had the luxury of playing all three of their backs
given this game was over at halftime. 15 touches for Cook who
looks dynamic and an easy top 10 fantasy back.
Coleman missed the first quarter of the game for team disciplinary
reasons. Shakir (6 targets) seems to be the most valuable fantasy
asset of this group for the moment. MVS (49 snaps) played a lot
in this game as the Bills ran out the clock in the 2nd half.
TE Dalton Kincaid: 34 snaps (53.1%), 16.7% tgt share
TE Dawson Knox: 33 snaps (51.6%), 6.7% tgt share
Nice to see Kincaid (3-41-1) find the endzone but he’s
not going to get the volume to make him a true top-tier fantasy
tight end.
Nice game from Chuba who topped 100 yards rushing and had
26 touches. He’s a Flex option moving forward. I don’t expect
this offensive explosion most weeks from Carolina so Sanders remains
off the fantasy radar.
Red Rifle to the rescue! This could end up being Dalton’s
best fantasy game of the season, but… 14-target game for Diontae
Johnson. He’s back in the WR2 conversation with the change at
quarterback. Thielen left late in the first half, injuring his
hamstring on a TD grab.
Swift (15 touches) taking advantage of a weak Colts run defense
didn’t materialize. Instead, Roschon (12 touches) saw his first
meaningful action of the season. He’s should be on your radar.
Trenton Irwin was inactive. We knew this was a good matchup
for Chase and he delivered (6-118-2). Higgins (hamstring) didn’t
appear to have any restrictions and had some quality scoring opportunities
but couldn’t convert, catching half of his six targets.
TE Jordan Akins: 45 snaps (67.2%), 20.0% tgt share
Watson and the Browns passing game continues to struggle.
The Cleveland QB has yet to throw for over 200 yards in a game.
After a couple duds, Cooper (12 targets) found the endzone twice.
Disappointing that Lamb wasn’t a bigger part of the Dallas
comeback in 4th quarter. Dak (51 attempts) was spreading the ball
around (11 different receivers) on his way to 379 passing yards.
Ferguson missed last week with a knee issue, but led the
team in targets (11) in Week 3. Probably a little light on snaps,
but expect to see him on the field more moving forward.
Humphrey was second in snaps and target share among the Broncos
wideouts which is somewhat of a surprise. Rookie Devaughn Vele
was Inactive. Volatile usage for this group to start the season.
Low passing volume from the Lions this week. Just 23 attempts
from Goff. Patrick has taken over Kalif Raymond’s spot at the
No.3 receiver. No fantasy value though given all the other weapons
in this offense.
TE Sam LaPorta: 43 snaps (63.2%), 9.1% tgt share
TE Brock Wright: 47 snaps (69.1%), 22.7% tgt share
LaPorta left before halftime with a sprained ankle. There’s
a chance he plays in Week 4 but his upside is capped given the
Jameson Williams usage we’ve seen through 3 weeks.
Just 19 attempts from Willis. Six receivers had at least
10 snaps. This low volume and high WR participation isn’t going
to lead to fantasy production from the wideouts. Reed led all
receivers with 6 targets. We may see Jordan Love next week.
TE Tucker Kraft: 42 snaps (66.7%), 15.8% tgt share
TE Luke Musgrave: 35 snaps (55.6%), 5.3% tgt share
Kraft continues to lead this duo in playing time and target
share.
Just 20 pass attempts from Richardson this week. This passing
game isn’t producing any reliable receivers. Mitchell’s snap share
took a hit with the return of Downs. Pittman and Downs led the
wideouts with 5 targets.
Kirk and Thomas combined for 19 targets but Lawrence and
backup Mac Jones threw for just 200 yards. Gabe leads this group
in snap share through 3 weeks, but is third in target share (17.8%).
Evan Engram was Inactive. Strange is a nice fill-in but this
offense is struggling at the moment. Trevor Lawrence has completed
just 52.8% of his passes through 3 weeks.
This is roughly the workload split we figured would happen
for KC. Steele (18 touches) worked mostly on early downs. Perine
(9 touches) was more active in the passing game. Steele is flex-worthy
as long as Kareem Hunt remains inactive.
14 targets for Rice (12-110-1) who left briefly for injury
in this game. Increased usage for JuJu who found the endzone.
He’s not on the fantasy radar yet until his target share increases.
TE Travis Kelce: 57 snaps (77%), 13.9% tgt share
TE Noah Gray:
37 snaps (50%), 5.6% tgt share
Rice has taken over has the dominant option in the passing
game which means Kelce is no longer a top tier TE until the Chiefs
offense picks up steam.
Chargers allowed Herbert to play with a high-ankle sprain
but he couldn’t finish the game. Now face Kansas City in Week
4 with Taylor Heinicke at QB? Palmer was Inactive. This passing
game is muted, but QJ and McConkey are the only fantasy considerations
at receiver in this offense.
TE Hayden Hurst: 28 snaps (60.9%), 10.5% tgt share
TE Will Dissly: 23 snaps (50%), 15.8% tgt share
The tight ends are splitting snaps making this situation
a fantasy wasteland.
It’s clear that White (10 touches all carries) isn’t going
to play a lot when the Raiders are in a negative game-script.
He’s also losing valuable goaline touches to Mattison. Stock sinking.
Raheem Mostert (chest) was Inactive. 14 touches for Achane
but the offense struggled and never found the endzone. Wilson
and Wright split backup duties behind Achane.
Miami’s offense doesn’t function without Tua. Skylar Thompson
left early with a chest injury which left them with Tim Boyle
at QB. Hill, Waddle and Achane all had 5 targets. Downgrade this
group while Tua is out of the lineup.
Perhaps due to the short week, but the Pats gave more work
to Gibson (8 touches) in Week 3. Don’t think this a trend
and I expect Rhamondre (6 touches) to have his lead-back role
moving forward.
I mentioned last week that Allen played well enough to earn
a role and that happened in Week 3. Breece started the game but
Braelon came in on series #2. Breece will still have a solid lead-back
role, but has lost the “workhorse” label for now.
Williams is till third on the depth chart behind Lazard but
we likely would’ve have seen more Williams had the game
been closer. Rodgers mentioned after the game that the first three
opponents for the Jets have all focused on taking away Garrett
Wilson.
Smith took a hard shot in this game. Hopefully he’s good
to go for Week 4. If not, we may see more of Parris Campbell.
Dotson has 5 targets through 3 games.
With Kenneth Walker inactive the Seahawks are comfortable
giving Charbonnet (21 touches) the majority running back work.
Kenny McIntosh saw just 10 snaps. This workhorse role makes Charbonnet
one of the best handcuffs in the league.
No Deebo this week. Purdy threw the ball 30 times. Aiyuk
and Jennings combined for 22 targets. Jennings’ monster game (11-175-3)
included a 40% target share which led all receivers in Week 3.
More rushes for Bucky (9) than White (6) this week and the
results were predictable: 7.8 ypc for Bucky, 2.8 ypc for White.
At some point we may see White become strictly a third-down back.
This committee continues to favor Pollard who is operating
as the lead back. Low play volume this week resulted in just 9
touches for Pollard and 6 for Spears.
We welcome DeAndre Hopkins (7-6-73-1) to the 2024 NFL season
this week. He led the team in targets and production despite being
4th in snaps among TEN wideouts. Knee is likely still an issue.
Ekeler missed a big chunk of this game due to a concussion.
17 touches for Robinson who did find the endzone but only amassed
37 yards. He will have a big role in Week 4 if Ekeler misses.
Low pass volume for the offense (23 attempts) but McLaurin
hit on two big plays, one for a TD. He’s the only viable fantasy
wideout given the nature of this offense. Noah Brown played just
13 snaps.
TE Zach Ertz: 38 snaps (64.4%), 21.7% tgt share
TE John Bates: 33 snaps (55.9%), 0.0% tgt share
Ben Sinnott saw 26 snaps but didn’t see a target. Ertz
is still the TE1 in Washington.
