Saquon Barkley saw his snap percentage (69%) take a bit of
a hit in Week 5 as the Giants incorporated Matt Breida (30%)
and Gary Brightwell (12%). Not concerned for Barkley though.
AJ Dillon’s snap share fell to 32% in Week 5 with Aaron Jones playing on 73% of the snaps. Dillon is typically in
the 50% range.
Devin Singletary played on 54% of the snaps during Buffalo’s
blowout of Pittsburgh which allowed Zack Moss (29%) and James Cook (18%) to get involved.
Jaylen Warren (51%) and Najee Harris (49%) split snaps almost
evenly for the Steelers. The blowout was a good spot to give
Najee some rest.
Rinse and repeat for the Cleveland running backs. Nick Chubb
(52%) gets there every week playing about half the snaps.
Dameon Pierce (80%) is a lead-back we can count on. He’s
had 20+ touches in each of the last three weeks.
David Montgomery returned from his sprained ankle and operated
as the lead-back playing on 72% of the snaps. Khalil Herbert
was used in backup role playing on 28% of the snaps. No stand-alone
value for Herbert with Montgomery back in the mix.
Dalvin Cook’s usage is down from what we’re used
to in previous seasons. He played on 57% of the snaps in Week
5 with Alexander Mattison playing on 43%.
Damien Harris left with a hamstring injury which resulted
in an increased snap share for Rhamondre Stevenson (90%).
If Harris sits in Week 6, Rhamondre will have RB1 upside.
The Lions were blanked in Week 5 which allowed Craig Reynolds
(47%) to get some extra run. Jamaal Williams played on 33%
of the snaps. Expect D’Andre Swift back in Week 7 after
Detroit’s bye in Week 6.
The Seahawks lost Rashaad Penny (broken leg) for the season
so we expect Kenneth Walker (58%) to get most of the work
moving forward. Tony Jones was signed from the Saints practice
squad and a combination of DeeJay Dallas (19%) and Travis Homer (ribs) will fill complementary roles.
Coming off his rib injury, Alvin Kamara operated as the lead
back and played on 73% of the snaps. Mark Ingram (22%) filled
the backup role.
Brian Robinson Jr. returned and played on 29% of the snaps,
forming a committee with J.D. McKissic (41%) and Antonio Gibson
(32%). This backfield needs some clarity before trusting it
in your lineup.
In San Francisco, Jeff Wilson (58%) lost some snaps to Tevin Coleman (28%) this week making Coleman a consideration for
deeper leagues.
All Arizona running backs outside of Eno Benjamin (54%) left
this game due to injury including James Conner (35%). Follow
practice reports this week to see who will be available.
Ezekiel Elliott (66%) saw 22 carries against the Rams, 0
targets and was out-produced by Tony Pollard (42%) on 8 touches.
Joe Mixon played on 70% of the snaps for the Bengals while
Samaje Perine played on 30%. Perine is worth a bench stash
if you have the room.
J.K. Dobbins played only 40% of the snaps for the Ravens.
Kenyan Drake (42%) operated as the No.2 back.
The Chiefs continued their three-man committee at running
back with Clyde Edwards-Helaire (43%), Jerick McKinnon (53%)
and Isiah Pacheco (3%) all seeing action. McKinnon provided
some burst and earned a few more snaps as a result.
Josh Jacobs continues to be a workhorse for the Raiders playing
on 81% of the snaps Monday night. Brandon Bolden saw a 16%
snap share.
Wide Receiver
Michael Pittman Jr. (99%) and Parris Campbell (92%) continue
to see the most snaps for the Colts. The inept Colts offense
makes Pittman the only fantasy consideration.
Amon-Ra St. Brown was limited to a 32% snap share his first
week back from an ankle injury. The Lions have a bye in Week
6. Josh Reynolds (91%) and Kalif Raymond (85%) were full-time
players.
With Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry out, Marquez Callaway
(73%) and Tre'Quan Smith (68%) played the most snaps for the
Saints. Chris Olave (40%) would’ve been a full-time
player but suffered a concussion and left early.
The return of Rondale Moore (91%) has put Greg Dortch (3%)
on the proverbial bench. A.J. Green (73%) is back, soaking
up playing time but not producing any fantasy worthy stats.
Tee Higgins (16%) aggravated his sprained ankle and barely
played Sunday night. Ja’Marr Chase played every snap
and Tyler Boyd (97%) wasn’t far behind.
The wide receiver usage in Kansas City remains consistent
with no receiver seeing a dominant target share. Marquez Valdes-Scantling
played on 81% of the snaps with JuJu Smith-Schuster (87%)
and Mecole Hardman (40%) forming the top three.
The Colts are using three tight ends including Mo Alie-Cox
(44%), Kylen Granson (48%) and Jelani Woods (29%) making all
of them untrustworthy for lineups.
Robert Tonyan (44%) continues to share time with other tight
ends which is limiting his upside. He’s not really playable
until this changes.
Donald Parham returned from injury this week and played on
38% of the snaps This didn’t cut into Gerald Everett’s
time on the field (65%) but Parham’s pass-catching chops
give them another viable option at the position which is concerning
for Everett.
Hunter Henry (98%) dominated snaps at tight end for the Patriots
with Jonnu Smith out and turned a usable fantasy performance
(4-54-0).
Noah Fant (60%) and Will Dissly (64%) continue to play a
significant number of snaps for the Seahawks cancelling out
their fantasy value.
Taysom Hill’s monstrous game came on a 30% snap share.
Adam Trautman (65%) and Juwan Johnson (57%) are seeing the
most snaps at the true tight end position.
With Cameron Brate out, rookie Cade Otton saw an impressive
94% snap share. He’s worth an add if Brate continues
to sit.
George Kittle (88%) saw a dominant snap share in Week 5 against
the Titans.
Dalton Schultz only played 18% of the snaps as he works his
way back from a knee injury.
Tyler Higbee is played an astounding 97% of the snaps for
the Rams.
Hayden Hurst played on 81% of the snaps for the Bengals.
Darren Waller pulled a Tee Higgins and only played 8 snaps
before leaving with a hamstring injury. Jesper Horsted (58%)
filled in with Foster Moreau on the Inactive list.
