My off-season PPR dynasty rankings gaze into the future with a two-year emphasis. As the season begins, a more narrow approach to the rankings will occur as we try to win a championship. Positional dynamics play an important factor. We know that running backs tend to have shorter careers while top flight quarterbacks can stick in the league for 10-plus seasons.

Other considerations include age, contract situation, durability, consistency, supporting cast and more.

COMMENTS
Christian McCaffrey, SF: Ideal spot for CMac's fantasy value.

Bijan Robinson, ATL: Unique talent with new coaching staff.

Breece Hall, NYJ: Played in every game despite 2022 ACL injury. Only 20+ carries three times.

Jahmyr Gibbs, DET: One of the best backs in the league. Will share time with Montgomery.

Jonathan Taylor, IND: Got his deal but has played in just 22 games the last two seasons.

James Cook, BUF: Explosive, gets there on efficiency.

De'Von Achane, MIA: Explosive, but injuries are a concern as well as crowded RB room.

Travis Etienne, JAC: 12 TDs in 2023 but sounds like JAX want fewer touches for their lead back.

Kyren Williams, LAR: Workhorse role when healthy.

Kenneth Walker, SEA: Lead back when healthy but loses work to Charbonnet.

Saquon Barkley, PHI: Philadelphia landing spot seems positive.

Isiah Pacheco, KC: Moved into the lead-back role in 2023.

Rachaad White, TB: Usage in 2023 was ideal. Lacks explosiveness as a runner.

Josh Jacobs, GB: Couldn't repeat 2022 season as offense sputtered.

Jonathon Brooks, CAR: ACL injury in November. Could split work in Year 1.

Trey Benson, ARI: Should easily be the No.2 behind Conner in rookie year.

D'Andre Swift, CHI: Crowded backfield in CHI.

Tyjae Spears, TEN: Will now share workload with Pollard. Two ACL injuries.

Javonte Williams, DEN: Averaged just 3.6 ypc in Denver's weak offense.

Joe Mixon, HOU: Now the lead-back for a rising Texans' offense.

Tony Pollard, TEN: Seemed to struggle as the lead back in 2023.

Zamir White, LV: Big off-season winner with Jacobs now in Green Bay.

Zach Charbonnet, SEA: Decent rookie season could lead to more opportunity in Year 2.

David Montgomery, DET: Should keep the same 2023 role, sharing time with Gibbs.

Derrick Henry, BAL: Good landing spot for the veteran RB.

MarShawn Lloyd, GB: May be difficult to find a role behind Jacobs.

Aaron Jones, MIN: Disappointing 2023 but finished with five-straight 100-yd rushing games.

Rhamondre Stevenson, NE: Disappointing 2023, but likely to retain lead-back role in 2024.

Blake Corum, LAR: Will McVay continue to feature one RB or will Corum force his hand?

Jaylen Warren, PIT: Cutting into Najee's workload.

Chase Brown, CIN: May be splitting work with Moss in 2024.

Najee Harris, PIT: Three-straight 1000-yd seasons but sharing time with Warren.

Jaylen Wright, MIA: Another speedy RB for the Dolphins. Crowded RB room.

Austin Ekeler, WAS: Took a step back in 2023. Lands in Washington for 2024.

Nick Chubb, CLE: Stud. Brutal knee injury in 2023.

Kendre Miller, NO: Having trouble staying on the field.

Alvin Kamara, NO: Saints appear to be sticking with Kamara for 2024.

Brian Robinson Jr., WAS: Worked in the lead-back role in 2023.

Devin Singletary, NYG: Should be lead-back for the Giants in 2024.

Raheem Mostert, MIA: Led all RBs in TDs in 2023. Timeshare in Miami. 32 years old.

James Conner, ARI: Volume hog when healthy.

Bucky Irving, TB: Similar strengths to White. Committee RB?

Zack Moss, CIN: Will work in tandem with Chase Brown.

Ray Davis, BUF: Big-back complement to Cook. Already 24 years old.

Jerome Ford, CLE: Workload will increase if Chubb can't regain form.

Chuba Hubbard, CAR: Should retain his lead-back role heading into 2024.

Ty Chandler, MIN: Got an opportunity in 2023. Can he build in 2024?

Kimani Vidal, LAC: Could have value if Dobbins can't regain form.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., NYG: Weak RB room is a plus.

Gus Edwards, LAC: Should have goaline opportunities with Chargers.

Miles Sanders, CAR: Lost his starting job to Hubbard in 2023.

Tyler Allgeier, ATL: Likely to see a reduction in volume moving forward.

Isaac Guerendo, SF: Crowded backfield in SF. No.2 role in 2025?

Khalil Herbert, CHI: Could be a three-man RBBC in CHI.

Roschon Johnson, CHI: The youngest of the three Chicago backs.

Jaleel McLaughlin, DEN: Got some juice. RB2 behind Javonte.

Dylan Laube, LV: Receiving skills could equate to PPR value.

Tank Bigsby, JAC: Lost the backup job in 2023.

Braelon Allen, NYJ: Landing spot isn't great for fantasy value.

Ezekiel Elliott, DAL: Reunion with Dallas.

D'Onta Foreman, CLE: Moves to Cleveland as Chubb insurance.

Keaton Mitchell, BAL: Late-season knee injury will limit his 2024 season.

AJ Dillon, GB: Packers not as reliant on the run. Jacobs in town.

J.K. Dobbins, LAC: Achilles injury on 9/10/23.

Dameon Pierce, HOU: Lost his starting job in 2023.

Will Shipley, PHI: Likely a committee back even if Barkley gets hurt.

Elijah Mitchell, SF: Injuries remain an issue.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, KC: Sticking in KC for 2024.

Alexander Mattison, LV: Will have to settle for a timeshare.

Kenneth Gainwell, PHI: Not a priority in the Eagles offense.

Isaiah Spiller, LAC: New coaching staff could overhaul RB room.

Jeff Wilson, MIA: Timeshare in Miami.
