Usage Notes: Wildcard Weekend

Each week, I’ll look at snaps, usage, touches, target shares and pull out the highlights you need to know from each game.

- All games will be available Tuesday afternoon.
- Snap shares are in parenthesis next to each player’s name.

Browns: 71

The Browns made Pierre Strong Jr. inactive and gave Jerome Ford (60.6%) and Kareem Hunt (39.4%) all of the running back work. Both had 13 touches. Hunt scored twice while Ford managed just 32 yards as the Browns got blown out thanks to two pick-sixes by Joe Flacco.

Elijah Moore (88.7%) only had 2 targets while David Bell (60.6%) had 8 for 65 yards. Amari Cooper (97.2%) had just an 11.6% target share as the Texans weren’t going to allow him another 200-yard game.

TE David Njoku (71.8%) ended the season strong with a 25.6% target share finishing with a 7-93-0 line.

Devin Singletary (71.7%) was in his typical lead back role, handling 16 touches for 70 yards and 1. Dare Ogunbowale (17.4%) and Dameon Pierce (13.0%) were used sparingly.

Nico Collins (69.6%) had a 31.8% target share and finished with a 6-96-1 line. John Metchie (76.1%), Xavier Hutchinson (43.5%), Robert Woods (32.6%) and Noah Brown (10.9%) combined for 8 targets.

TE Brevin Jordan (50.0%) scored a 76-yard TD - his only target of the game. Dalton Schultz (78.3%) scored a 37-yard TD on 2 targets.

Offensive Snaps
Dolphins: 61
Chiefs: 79

Miami’s offense never got on track in the cold against the Chiefs. Raheem Mostert (44.3%), Devon Achane (37.7%) and Jeff Wilson (21.3%) all saw the field but only managed 51 scoreless yards.

Tyreek Hill (65.6%) scored the only points for the Dolphins on a 53-yard reception. Jaylen Waddle (67.2%) and Cedrick Wilson (62.3%) combined for 12 targets.

Isiah Pacheco (69.6%) handled 25 touches on this chilly evening finishing with a 24-89-1, 1 -1-0 line. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (30.4%) handled 8 touches.

WR Rashee Rice (77.2%) dominated the receiving game with a 35.3% target share. Justin Watson (68.4%), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (40.5%), Mecole Hardman (34.2%), Richie James (20.3%) are taking up space on the field.

TE Travis Kelce (86.1%) committed multiple drops but had a 29.4% target share for a 7-71-0 line.

GB @ DAL

Packers: 56
Cowboys: 95

AJ Dillon was inactive. Emanuel Wilson (26.8%) worked as the No.2 running back behind Aaron Jones (62.5%) and got 8 touches. Jones finished with a 21-118-1, 1-13-0 line in Green Bay’s impressive win over Dallas.

Christian Watson (41.1%) saw just 1 target in his return from a hamstring injury. The star receiver was Romeo Doubs (69.6%) who had a 28.6% target share and finished with a 6-151-1 line. Dontayvion Wicks (55.4%), Jayden Reed (46.4%) and Bo Melton (39.3%) all saw the field. Reed had 3 targets and 0 catches.

TE Luke Musgrave played just 26.8% of the snaps while Tucker Kraft played 80.4%. Both saw 3 targets with Musgrave finishing with a 3-52-1 line.

A night to forget for Dallas, but they racked up a ton of fantasy points in catch-up mode while getting off 95 offensive plays!

Tony Pollard (70.5%) finished with a 15-56-1, 7-29-0 line. His only 100-yard rushing game of the season was back in Week 3.

CeeDee Lamb (91.6%) had a 29.3% target share while Michael Gallup (66.3%) finished with a 6-103-0 line. Brandin Cooks (92.6%) went 6-47-1.

TE Jake Ferguson (78.9%) turned 12 targets into a 10-93-3 line, making him a dominant force in playoff leagues.

LAR @ DET

Offensive Snaps
Rams: 58
Lions: 56

Kyren Williams (65.5%) left this game midway through the 4th quarter with a hand injury. He finished with 14 touches. Ronnie Rivers (31.0%) handled six touches for 44 yards.

Puka Nacua (84.5%) was the best offensive weapon for the Rams. He had a 29.4% target share and finished with a 9-181-1 line. Expect him to be drafted over Cooper Kupp (100.0%) next season. Kupp turned 9 targets into 5 catches and 27 yards. Demarcus Robinson played every snap as the No.3 wide receiver.

TE Tyler Higbee (65.5%) suffered a torn ACL.

Both Detroit RBs found the endzone. David Montgomery (53.6%) handled 15 touches while Jahmyr Gibbs (33.9%) had 12.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (92.9%) had a 34.6% target share and had yet another 100-yard receiving game… his 10th of the season. Josh Reynolds (85.7%) had 26.9% target share and finished with a 5-80-0 line. Jameson Williams (69.6%) had just 2 targets.

TE Sam LaPorta played 80.4% of the snaps despite his knee injury. He only saw 3 targets but did find the endzone.

PIT @ BUF

Offensive Snaps
Steelers: 65
Bills: 67

Najee Harris (56.9%) and Jaylen Warren (43.1%) were in their typical roles. The Steelers’ running backs combined for 24 touches and 106 yards but lacked any explosive plays.

George Pickens (90.8%) had a 28.9% target share but caught less than half of his targets for 50 yards. Diontae Johnson (84.6%) finished with a 4-48-1 line. Calvin Austin (41.5%) and Allen Robinson (40.0%) combined for 5 targets.

TE Pat Freiermuth (67.7%) had a 21.1% target share.

James Cook (61.2%), Ty Johnson (22.4%) and Latavius Murray (14.9%) all saw action with Leonard Fournette inactive. Cook handled 22 touches for 84 yards.

The Bills used five receivers with Gabriel Davis inactive. Stefon Diggs (83.6%), Khalil Shakir (67.2%), Trent Sherfield (62.7%), Deonte Harty (20.9%) and Andy Isabella (10.4%). Diggs had a 30.0% target share and finished with a 7-52-0 line, lacking downfield targets.

TE Dalton Kincaid (55.2%) had a 20.0% target share and found the endzone. Dawson Knox (41.8%) also scored but had just 1 catch for 9 yards.

Eagles: 59
Buccaneers: 70

The Eagles left this game the same way they came into it: broken.

D'Andre Swift (67.8%) and Kenneth Gainwell (32.2%) handled all of the running back work with 20 touches for 79 scoreless yards.

A.J. Brown was inactive which allowed DeVonta Smith (96.6%) to step into the No.1 wideout role. Smith had a 37.5% target share and finished with a 8-148-0 line. Julio Jones (28.8%) left early with a concussion which allowed more work for Quez Watkins (81.4%) and Olamide Zaccheaus (64.4%).

TE Dallas Goedert (81.4%) scored but only had 21 receiving yards.

As usual, Rachaad White (70.0%) and Chase Edmonds (30.0%) handled all of the running back work for the Buccaneers. White took 19 touches for 75 yards.

Mike Evans (80.0%) had a couple drops and missed connections which led to a muted 3-48-0 line on 7 targets. Chris Godwin (72.9%) finished with a 4-45-1 line on 5 targets.

TE Cade Otton (94.3%) was the receiving star with a 31.4% target share and an 8-89-0 line on 11 targets.
