Finally able to string a few healthy games together, Higgins
has scored in three of his last four games, and figures to benefit
greatly if Denver decides to shadow Ja’Marr Chase with Pat
Surtain II. He’s due for a big play downfield, and I think
it happens this week. He’s been ultra frustrating to own
this season, but patience pays off in the ultimate fantasy week.
Every week I expect JSN to fade back into the shadows, but it
just hasn’t happened, as he’s become the WR1 for the
pass-heavy Seahawks. He leads the team in receptions, targets,
yards, and touchdowns, and has become a top-10 option across formats.
With Seattle banged up in the backfield, and Geno Smith fully
trusting the 2nd year receiver, JSN continues to be an upside
WR2.
The rookie from Washington has officially arrived. If you turned
to him after his two-touchdown Week 14 game against Vegas I would
have said you were chasing points, but after putting up 5-75-1,
and 5-57-1 encores the past two weeks, McMillian is very tough
to sit. He’s seen 20 targets over those three weeks, and
has become the complementary receiver the Bucs desperately needed.
With so much on the line this week I can’t muster the confidence
in Kupp. Fantasy’s most elite receiver just a few seasons
ago, injuries, and the emergence of Puka Nakua have relegated
Kupp to a near afterthought. Outside of the Week 14 shootout with
Buffalo, he’s been a near statistical zero in the month
of December. As hard as it is to say, there are likely better
options out there, as hope is the only Kupp metric in your favor
right now.
It was fun while it lasted. As fun-lovin’, ball chuckin’
Jameis Winston tumbled down the depth chart, so did Jeudy’s
fantasy value. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a raw, one-read passer
at this point in his career and has sunk the value of all receivers
on this offense. Jeudy may have helped get you here, but now you
are on your own.
Bills Receivers vs NYJ
This is an absolutely maddening offense for fantasy purposes,
as essentially it is a receiver by committee in Buffalo. Khalil Shakir has been the most reliable, but really only in PPR or half
PPR leagues. Keon Coleman is big play or bust, and has anyone
seen Amari Cooper? Sure, the offense looked off last week against
a division foe at home, but this week….oh…déjà
vu.
