Ford got off to a quick start in Week 16, busting out of the
gate with a 67-yard run on his first carry showing plenty of juice
and wiggle. The Cleveland passing game has disappeared the last
two weeks, but Ford has carried the ground game racking up 176
yards and two touchdowns on only 18 carries. With full control
of the backfield, and a dual threat game, Ford could repeat his
Super Bowl winning performance, when he racked up 141 total yards
and two touchdowns in Week 17 of last season.
Hall has been a massive disappointment this season after being
a high first round pick in summer drafts. If you’ve managed
to make it to the end despite his struggles, he’s got a
shot to pay off this week. Back healthy, he saw 77% of the snaps
last week, his highest total since week 11. He should make his
money in the air this week, as Buffalo has allowed the 2nd most
receptions to opposing backs, and Rodgers looked his way six times
(five receptions) last week.
Pollard has hardly practiced over the last few weeks with a nagging
ankle injury, but he’s still been able to produce FLEX worthy
numbers. Spears saw a season high 61% snap share as the Titans
came back from a 38-7 hole vs the Colts. The Jags defense has
been a unit to target all season, and even if both backs split
time, the matchup is good enough to consider both as potential
plug-ins at your FLEX spot.
Ineffectiveness, and fumbling issues have caused Harris’s snap share
to tumble over the last two weeks. He saw a season low 28% of the
snaps last week, as Jaylen Warren has done more with less, and has
clearly been the more efficient back for two years now. The Steelers
value his veteran leadership but he simply isn’t the best option
in the backfield right now. In the fantasy finale you can do better.
Pacheco continues to work back from his broken leg, and it’s
clear that’s still a work in progress. He had 10 touches for 25
yards last week, while Kareem Hunt looked like the far better
option (79 total yards and a touchdown on 13 touches). This is
likely going to be a split backfield until the playoffs, and even
then, it’s a good bet that no one gets a significant portion of
the work.
After looking strong early, Stevenson had yet another costly
fumble, opening the door for a Buffalo comeback. He ended up being
out snapped by Antiono Gibson for only the 2nd time this season
and there is some rumbling in New England that Gibson could get
the Week 17 start. With poor efficiency numbers, any hit to Stevenson’s
volume kills his fantasy value.
