Swift and the Philly run game have completely disappeared in the
last two weeks, as the Eagles have been blown out by conference
foes San Francisco and Dallas. With the defense gassed and giving
up chunks of yardage it’s imperative the Eagles commit to
the running game to control the tempo. Look for a heavy dose of
Swift in this one as the Seahawks host a bottom-five defense against
the run.
Pittsburgh has lost three of four and are dangerously close
to losing their grip on what was once a sure fire playoff spot.
With turnover-in-a-can Mitchell Trubisky behind center and mid-tier
Colt rush defense coming to town, look for a heavy dose of Harris
and Warren. There should be enough volume for both guys to earn
them a spot in lineups.
Ekeler and most of this Charger offense has been underwhelming
this season. The loss of Justin Herbert throws even more cold
water on a team that hasn’t scored more than 10 points in
the last three weeks, but stay patient with Ekeler. After talk
of losing snaps to his mediocre understudies, Ekeler had one of
the best games of the season last week with 100 total yards and
a score. As one of the few playmakers still alive on this team,
and a neophyte at quarterback, look for the offense to be funneled
through Ekeler.
Although a touchdown saved him from another rough day at the
office, Singletary has returned to being a committee back after
dominating touches in Week 10 and 11. The healthy return of Dameon
Pierce has fractured touches in this backfield, and the Titans
defense yields a paltry 3.8 yards-per-carry on the season.
If you’ve made it this far counting on Dillon, then kudos
to you, but I’ve seen more than enough. Despite being the
RB1 for a majority of the season, Dillon has managed just a single
touchdown and a pathetic 3.5 yards-per-carry average. With Aaron
Jones potentially returning this week, Dillon has just about lost
any perceived value he might have had.
Is it time to get off the bus? Edwards has been brutal the last
two weeks totaling 42 empty rushing yards. With scant passing
game work, and Keaton Mitchell becoming a bigger part of the weekly
game-plan, Edwards might just be a touchdown or bust option going
forward.
