Wilson has remained on the cusp of QB1 status for most of the year,
but a host of recent injuries have decimated the position, thrusting
Wilson into lineups. The Detroit defense has been quite generous
down the stretch, giving up at least at least 26 points in every
game since week 10. The secondary remains the place to attack, and
Wilson should have a safe floor.
After being battered to a pulp the past two seasons, I really
thought we had seen the last of Stafford as a fantasy asset, but
that McVay offense, combined with an infusion of young talent
has Stafford back in play. He’s been red hot the last three
weeks, throwing for a total of 10 touchdowns, and now gets to
face the drain circling Commanders and their leaky secondary.
Fire up this entire offense.
A gruesome interception and a tough Giants defense spoiled the
party for Love and the Packers on Monday night. Week 14’s
fantasy output was his lowest of the season, but now Tampa voyages
north to frosty Lambeau. The Packer’s trio of young receivers
should find plenty of room to roam against a secondary getting
torched the last few weeks.
Props to Lawrence for a gutty performance against the Browns last
week, but he tossed a season high three picks, and struggled to
complete half of his passes. Baltimore got smacked in the mouth
defensively last week against the Rams, but they still have been
elite against fantasy quarterbacks, yielding the 2nd fewest points
to the position.
After the failed experiment to make him a pocket passer was
abandoned, Fields once again has one of the highest ceilings at
the position. He’s running more than ever, with three straight
games with 12 carries or more. Unfortunately Cleveland has a brutish,
athletic defense that has held Lamar Jackson to 68 total rushing
yards in two games this season. That experience should make them
prepared for Fields.
Murray’s upside always makes him a tough sit, and he’s
been a QB1 since returning to action in Week 10, but he’s
a risky start in the fantasy playoffs against a Niner squad on
a mission. Murray hasn’t faced this defense since Week 5
of the 2021 season when they held him to 239 passing yards and
a score. His single rushing yard on seven carries was a season
low that year and San Fran has the athleticism at linebacker to
keep him corralled.
