This one is pure dart throw, as I have little faith in this Patriot
offense, but with Douglas ascending to the defacto No.1 receiver
due to the loss of Kendrick Bourne, and the quitting Commanders
on deck, why not! Douglas, the team’s 6th round pick from Liberty,
has seen 13 targets over the last two weeks, and the team has made
a concerted effort to get him the ball in space. He’s small, but
is the fastest player on the team. This toothless offense needs
some juice, and the rookie could be it. Give him a shot this week.
Worst defense in the NFL against fantasy tight ends? You guessed
it, the Bengals. Not only is the matchup in his favor, but he’s
been a trusted target for Josh Allen recently, as the rookie has
15 targets over the last two games. He’s been ultra productive
with those looks, racking up 13 receptions for 140 yards and a
score. In the fantasy wasteland of the tight end position, go
with young upside.
After some early season injuries and inconsistency, Waddle looked
in top form, rolling to a 7-121-1 last week against the Patriots.
With defenses having to devote multiple resources to holding Tyreek
Hill in check, Waddle should continue to see single coverage.
Vegas has this pegged as a shootout in Germany, so fire up Waddle
with confidence.
I wanted to add Addison here as well, but I’ve looked like
a fool enough times already this year, so sorry Osborn. With the
Vikings pivoting QBs on the fly, and a rookie 6th rounder set
to start, no one in this passing game can truly be trusted for
the near future, least not Osborn.
Up until last week opposing No.1 receivers had been bottled up by
this Pats defense, but McLaurin isn’t Tyreek Hill, and no one is
mistaking this Commander offense for the Phins. Scary Terry has
only been mildly frightening this season, as he’s yet to reach 100
yards and has only crested six receptions once. Look for Dotson
and Logan Thomas to carry the passing game load as Sam Howell runs
for his life.
The reason the Chargers went out and drafted a 1st round receiver
is they weren’t very high on Palmer’s future prospects.
Now things have gotten so bleak that Palmer is blocking the even
more disappointing Quentin Johnson. Both guys were nearly invisible
last week, and with Ekeler back and healthy, and Keenan Allen
dominating targets, Palmer has nearly zero upside, especially
in a brutal Monday night matchup.
