| QB switch: Colts going back to Anthony Richardson Flacco got two starts By: Mike Krueger | Nov 13 2024, 11:33 am
Shane Steichen says Anthony Richardson has regained the starting QB job. He'll play Sunday against the Jets and be the starter moving forward. #Colts (George Bremer on X)
FFToday's Take: Joe Flacco got the call in Week 9 taking over Richardson who has largely been ineffective this season. The Colts lost both games Flacoo started and now it's time to turn back to Richardson in hopes he can continue his development into a competent quarterback. In the short term, this move hurts the fantasy value of Josh Downs as Richardson has yet to display the passing skills to deliver consistent fantasy value to his wide receivers.

| Trevor Lawrence Out Week 11, shoulder injury Could return in Week 13 By: Mike Krueger | Nov 13 2024, 10:33 am
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson says QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will be out this week. Optimistic that he can play after the bye week. (Michael DiRocco on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Lawrence missed Week 10 with his shoulder injury but it sounds like he will return in Week 13 to face the Texans. Mac Jones was awful in relief last week, throwing for a grand total of 111 yards against the Vikings. His prognosis this week against the Lions isn't much better, which will drag down the fantasy value of WR Brian Thomas Jr. and TE Evan Engram.

| Nico Collins should play in Week 11 Sidelined by hamstring injury since Week 5 By: Doug Orth | Nov 12 2024, 10:00 pm
Expectation is for #Texans star wide receiver Nico Collins to practice all week and then make his return Monday night against the #Cowboys per multiple league sources. 'He's 100 percent ready to go,' a source said.
(KPRC - Aaron Wilson)
FFToday's Take: HC DeMeco Ryans noted Collins did not have a setback before the team somewhat surprisingly made him inactive Sunday - two days after activating him off IR. While the logic of not playing him because he did not have a full practice week is sound (as Ryan later suggested), it makes little to activate him when they did. Regardless, a date against the Cowboys sets up as a potential big game for Collins, who should be in lineups this week barring a setback.

| Aaron Jones hurting but in line to play Week 11 Rib injury sidelined him for part of Week 10 By: Doug Orth | Nov 11 2024, 11:30 pm
Aaron Jones (ribs) might be a bit limited in practice early this week, but Kevin O'Connell said he feels good about having him for Sunday's game at Tennessee. (ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert)
FFToday's Take: Jones missed part of the second half but was able to play in the final minutes of the Vikings' Week 10 win against the Jags. Unlike Jacksonville, the Titans have been much stingier against running backs. Jones' numbers through nine games with Minnesota this year are almost identical to what he did in 11 games with Green Bay last season, which is to say he has been a very good RB2 with occasional RB1 upside. Barring an unexpected setback this week, keep him in lineups in Week 11.

| Sam LaPorta nursing shoulder injury Day-to-day; "hopeful" for Week 11 By: Doug Orth | Nov 11 2024, 7:10 pm
Campbell said Sam LaPorta is day to day with the shoulder injury and he's "hopeful" he can play this week (DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman)
FFToday's Take: LaPorta has not come close to repeating his rookie season, although the three best games of his 2024 campaign have come over the last five contests. Volume has been the primary issue this year; he has no more than six targets in any game after averaging 7.8 down the stretch in 2023. While Detroit would likely spread LaPorta's targets among Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Jahmyr Gibbs in Week 11 versus the Jaguars if he is ruled out, Brock Wright could be worth starting in deeper leagues against one of the most accommodating defenses defending the tight end.

| Tyreek Hill active for MNF Playing through a torn ligament in his wrist By: Doug Orth | Nov 11 2024, 7:00 pm
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill, listed as questionable for tonight’s game vs. the Rams due to a wrist injury, is officially active. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers who are counting on Hill to go catch a break here, although it remains to be seen how effective he will be after experiencing a setback late in the week. The Rams have mostly solved their issues against opposing receivers after getting pounded by them earlier in the season, although they have struggled against some top slot options. Hill's managers should expect him to serve as more of a decoy in this contest and be pleasantly surprised if he can be the WR1 he was drafted to be in most leagues.
| Tyreek Hill battling wrist injury, Questionable for Week 10 Missed practice Friday By: Mike Krueger | Nov 9 2024, 1:00 pm
McDaniel said Tyreek Hill is managing something that is heating up. Hill is doing everything possible and the Dolphins will see how Hill responds.
"If his body lets him he'll play," McDaniel said.
Hill was not spotted in the portion of practice open to the media Saturday.
Asked if he was optimistic about Hill, McDaniel said: "I'm optimistic that he's going to do everything he can. I wouldn't say I was optimistic or pessimistic." (Palm Beach Post)
FFToday's Take: Hill missed practice Friday and remains Questionable to play Monday night against the Rams. His status puts fantasy owners in a bind as we may not know until Monday whether or not he's going to play. Jaylen Waddle and TE Jonnu Smith would see a bump in value if Hill sits.
| Nico Collins, Tank Dell listed as Questionable for Week 10 Nico limited in practice on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Nov 8 2024, 4:03 pm
Houston also added Tank Dell to the injury report with a back injury and he is now questionable. Pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) is out. WR Nico Collins, who just returned to practice today after missing a month with a hamstring injury, is listed as questionable for Sunday night vs. the #Lions. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: The Texans don't play until Sunday night so this is going to be a tricky situation for fantasy owners. Nico missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before being limited on Friday. If he does play, he could be limited making him a risky Flex option in Week 10.
| Brian Robinson Jr. Out again with hamstring injury Missed practice on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Nov 8 2024, 4:00 pm
Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. was ruled out for Week 10 vs. the Steelers. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Robinson was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday then sat on Friday before being ruled Out for Week 10. With Robinson out last week, the Commanders used three running backs including Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr. Ekeler will work as the lead back but all three should get touches capping their upside.
| Michael Pittman Jr. Out for Week 10 Back injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 8 2024, 1:06 pm
Colts HC Shane Steichen: Michael Pittman Jr. (finger, back) OUT vs. Bills. Did not practice this week. Taking it week to week. Been battling it. It's the back. IR not being considered. (Mike Chappell on X)
FFToday's Take: Pittman has been battling a back injury the last couple weeks and it's no surprise his production has been lacking. Rookie Adonai Mitchell should see his snap rate increase and Josh Downs should be considered the top receiving option against the Bills in Week 10. In this same game, the Bills have ruled out Keon Coleman with a wrist injury.
| QB Mac Jones expected to start for the Jaguars Shoulder injury for Trevor Lawrence By: Mike Krueger | Nov 8 2024, 10:34 am
Coach Doug Pederson tells reporters that, in fact, Trevor Lawrence is trending toward not being able to play on Sunday. Mac Jones expected to get his first start with the #Jaguars. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: There's been no determination yet if Lawrence needs surgery which would likely knock him out for the remainder of the year. The Jaguars are struggling in many areas and their season is circling the drain. Jones will have a touch task this week against the blitzing Vikings defense. He's not recommended as a low-end QB2 option in Week 10.
| Christian McCaffrey expected to play Week 10 limited in practice By: Mike Krueger | Nov 7 2024, 6:34 pm
"He's been awesome these last 2 days. Hopefully that continues to go well. I expect to get him out there." - Kyle Shanahan on Christian McCaffrey's status for Sunday (Via Tolbert & Copes) (KNBR on X)
FFToday's Take: McCaffrey has been listed as limited in practice the last two days but it sounds like he's trending towards paying against Tampa Bay in Week 10. How much work he will get is still in question but if he's on the field, fantasy owners should get him in their lineup. Jordan Mason (shoulder) was limited in practice on Thursday as was Deebo Samuel (ribs).
| Tee Higgins listed as Doubtful for Thursday night Quad injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 6 2024, 3:30 pm
Bengals list Tee Higgins as doubtful to play vs. the Ravens. (Kelsey Conway on X)
FFToday's Take: This will be the fifth game Higgins has missed this season due to injury. His absence will once again bring Mike Gesicki into play as a viable tight end option. Gesicki has excelled in three out of the four games Higgins has missed this season and the Bengals-Ravens game is currently the highest total (53.5) on the Week 10 slate.

| Mike Williams dealt to Pittsburgh NYJ receives 2025 fifth-round pick in return By: Doug Orth | Nov 5 2024, 5:10 pm
Another trade: Pittsburgh is trading a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Jets for WR Mike Williams, per source. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Although Williams' time in New York did not go as planned, Williams is still a very good deep threat and contested-catch receiver. At worst, he should quickly emerge as a capable complementary receiver who can stretch the field and take some of the defensive attention away from George Pickens. It may be too much to ask Williams to be useful in fantasy in Week 10 against the Commanders, but Williams could emerge as a viable flex option in deeper leagues later this month.

| Lamar Jackson does not practice on Tuesday Ravens host Cincinnati on Thursday night By: Doug Orth | Nov 5 2024, 5:00 pm
Lamar Jackson is not practicing Tuesday, which is the Ravens’ only full practice before Thursday night’s game vs. the Bengals.
Jackson was not on the injury report Monday.
Last week, Jackson missed 2 practices due to back/knee injuries. He then recorded a perfect passer rating. (ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley)
FFToday's Take: Jackson finished the team's Week 9 game without incident and posted a perfect passer rating in doing so, so this is likely Baltimore giving him a rest day. Although he did not appear on Monday's practice report, Jackson should be considered good to go - barring a report about a surprise injury - for Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals. As per usual, he is a great bet to post overall QB1 numbers just about any week he takes the field.

| Trade: Bengals acquire Khalil Herbert from Bears Chicago gets a 2025 seventh-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Nov 5 2024, 8:40 am
Source: The #Bears get a seventh-rounder in exchange for sending RB Khalil Herbert to the #Bengals. (Jeremy Fowler on X)
FFToday's Take: The Bengals are in need of running back help after Zack Moss injured his neck and will be out indefinitely. Chase Brown should remain the lead back but Herbert could be fantasy viable if the Bengals employ the same rotation they were using with Moss and Brown. He's worth a bench stash in most leagues if you have the room.

| Drake London dealing with a hip pointer Made early exit in Week 9 By: Doug Orth | Nov 4 2024, 11:50 pm
Falcons WR Drake London will have tests done, but the belief is he suffered a hip pointer, source said. While those can be frustrating, they are not long-term issues. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: HC Raheem Morris told reporters London is considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should expect a week full of limited practices and a questionable tag on Friday, but it seems likely at this point that London will play in Week 10 against the Saints. Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts would likely be asked to pick up more of the slack in the passing game if London needs to sit for a week.
| Amari Cooper still day-to-day Wrist injury sidelined him in Week 9 By: Doug Orth | Nov 4 2024, 11:30 pm
WR Amari Cooper (wrist) is considered day-to-day, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott. (WGR 550 - Sal Capaccio)
FFToday's Take: Cooper was a surprise inactive in Week 9 after he was deemed questionable on the team's final injury report following a week full of limited practices. What it means is we will probably need to see at least one full practice this week before we can assume he has a chance to play in Week 10 against the Colts. The lack of activity also isn't helping him build chemistry with his new quarterback, so fantasy managers are advised to keep him on the bench until he shows he is developing a connection with Josh Allen.
| A.J. Brown day-to-day WR suffered knee injury in Week 9 and did not return By: Doug Orth | Nov 4 2024, 8:00 pm
Tests today showed that the knee injury that caused Eagles WR A.J. Brown to leave Sunday’s win over the Jaguars will leave him being considered “day to day”. Eagles breathing a sigh of relief that Brown’s injury is not more serious. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: The day-to-day designation would seem to give Brown a good chance at playing in Week 10 against the Cowboys. However, fantasy managers would be wise to prepare as if he will not be available - as is typically the case with players who do not return to action in the same game in which they get hurt. Brown is always in the fantasy WR1 conversation when he suits up. If he misses Week 10, then DeVonta Smith becomes a top 10-12 option at receiver.

| Dak Prescott out multiple weeks with hamstring injury Cooper Rush next up on the depth chart By: Mike Krueger | Nov 4 2024, 1:42 pm
#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury was worse than initially feared. He is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.
In fact, this is not looking like a short-term injury. Cooper Rush is the team’s backup. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Dak is currently the QB15 in fantasy points per game but will now be replaced by Cooper Rush with Trey Lance serving as the backup. Rush poseted a 115-1-0 line filling in for Prescott yesterday against the Falcons. He's a low-end QB2 option moving forward with games against PHI, HOU, @WAS, and NYG next on the schedule.
| Brian Robinson Jr. Inactive for Week 9 Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 3 2024, 11:20 am
Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. is inactive today. Commanders expected he would be able to play but the pre-game warmup did not go well. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Over the weekend, it seemed like Robinson was on track to play but his pre-game workout didn't satisfy the coaches and trainers. With Robinson out, the Commanders will lean on Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols to handle the running back work. Ekeler is a viable RB2 option, especially in PPR leagues while McNichols is a low-end Flex option.
| Both Etienne and Bigsby likely to play Jags have numerous injuries on offense By: Mike Krueger | Nov 3 2024, 2:09 am
#Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (ankle) and RB Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) are both likely to play today, barring a setback, sources say.
It's the same for WR Brian Thomas Jr. (chest), though Gabe Davis (shoulder) appears to be more of a long-shot. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: The Jaguars are dealing with a number of injuries to their offensive personnel but it sounds like both running backs will be active which caps their ceiling. With Gabe Davis likely to miss, expect Parker Washington to get more looks this week against the Eagles who are giving up the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers.
| Jordan Love expected to start in Week 9 Groin injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 2 2024, 12:02 pm
#Packers QB Jordan Love - who’s listed as questionable with a groin injury - is expected to start Sunday’s game against the #Lions, per sources.
No setbacks or surprises during the week, and Love is ready to roll with the NFC North lead on the line. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Love injured his groin in Week 8 and was obviously limited before giving way to Malik Willis. He'll be a risky start this week in a decent matchup against the Lions.
| DK Metcalf out for Week 9 with knee injury Seahawks have a bye in Week 10 By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 3:55 pm
Seahawks have ruled out WR DK Metcalf for Sunday's game: (Bob Codotta on X)
FFToday's Take: This will be Metcalf's second missed game in a row with a knee issue. The Seahawks have a bye in Week 10, so the earliest we'll see Metcalf back on the field is Week 11 against the 49ers. Jake Bobo stepped into Metcalf's role last week, playing 76.5% of the snaps but only had 1 target. He won't be a recommended fantasy play against the Rams.
| Tee Higgins listed as Doubtful for Week 9 Quad injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 12:27 pm
Bengals WR Tee Higgins and LT Orlando Brown Jr. will both be doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Raiders game, coach Zac Taylor said.
S Geno Stone and DE Sam Hubbard should be good to go, Taylor said. (Ben Baby on X)
FFToday's Take: Higgins injured his quad in practice last Friday and is now likely to miss his second straight game. With Higgins out last week, Andrei Iosivas played the majority of snaps with Jermaine Burton and Trenton Irwin splitting the third wide receiver role. The Bengals are also capable of running more two-TE sets with Higgins out.

| Tyrone Tracy Jr. expected to clear concussion protocol Should play in Week 9 By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 11:38 am
Tyrone Tracy Jr. is progressing again today. Barring an unexpected setback, the #Giants’ top RB is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol and start Sunday. (Pat Leonard on X)
FFToday's Take: We've seen Tracy take over the Giants backfield at times including last week when he finished with a 20-145-1, 2-5-0 line against the Steelers. Assuming he gets cleared, he should be lead back in Week 9 against the Commanders and be in the high-end RB2 mix with Devin Singletary working in a backup role.

| Puka Nacua added to injury report, knee Limited in practice on Thursday By: Mike Krueger | Oct 31 2024, 7:15 pm
Rams WR Puka Nacua was scheduled for his weekly press conference today, but was not able to do it because he left practice with a knee injury, per a team official. He will be listed as “limited” on the injury report. McVay next speaks tomorrow. This is the same knee as was previously injured, per team official. (Jourdan Rodrigue on X)
FFToday's Take: Not great. We'll have a better idea of the seriousness of Puka knee injury after practice tomorrow. He posted a 7-106-0 line last week after missing much of the season with a knee injury suffered in Week 1. The Rams visit the Seahawks in Week 9.

| Anthony Richardson benched Joe Flacco set to take over for the foreseeable future By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 10:00 pm
A QB change for the Colts: Indianapolis is benching former first-round pick Anthony Richardson and turning to veteran Joe Flacco, sources tell @FowlerESPN and me. Coaches met this morning and made the seismic organizational decision to change QBs. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Once HC Shane Steichen said everything was being evaluated, it felt like it was only a matter of time before the Colts made this change. Regardless of whether the move is the right thing for Richardson's future, there is little question fantasy managers of Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs are giddy. In the three games Flacco has logged significant snaps this season, Pittman is averaging 14.8 PPR fantasy points (6.3 with Richardson) while Downs is averaging 19.2 (9.6). Flacco is a very solid QB2 option with QB1 upside for however long he is the starter.
| DeAndre Hopkins expected to play more in Week 9 Limited to 23 snaps in KC debut in Week 8 By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 9:50 pm
DeAndre Hopkins made his Chiefs debut on Sunday, playing 23 of Kansas City’s 72 offensive snaps in the 27-20 victory. Hopkins caught two of his three targets for 29 yards in the contest. In his Monday news conference, head coach Andy Reid said Hopkins looked good in his first game with the club.
“He was chomping at the bit on the sideline wanting to play and at the same time, knowing that he didn’t have all of it down so there was a patience there. But he was into the game and I think you’ll be able to see more this next game," Reid said. (Pro Football Talk - Mike Florio)
FFToday's Take: A receiver should never be expected to play a full allotment of snaps in the same week he is acquired in a trade, so it did not come as a surprise that he logged only 23 snaps in Week 8. The good news is he will have a full week of practice heading into the Chiefs' Week 9 tilt against the Bucs, who have surrendered eight touchdowns to receivers over the last four games. Hopkins' fantasy managers should feel good about his ability to serve as a WR3 with upside this week.

| Tyrone Tracy in concussion protocol Week 9 status in doubt By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 9:40 pm
Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. told me as he was exiting the locker room that he is in the concussion protocol, so he was unavailable to answer questions due to the protocol's policy.
Career night with 145 yards and a TD in losing effort. (NorthJersey.com - Art Stapleton)
FFToday's Take: Tracy was injured late in Monday night's loss to the Steelers. The fact he suffered his brain injury on a Monday night gives him one less day to clear the five-step protocol before Sunday's tilt against the Commanders. Players can progress through the protocol in less than five days (as Marvin Harrison Jr. did recently), but it does not happen very often. Devin Singletary would be in line to make another start if Tracy is ruled out.

| Trade: Diontae Johnson headed to Baltimore Pick Swap: Panthers get a 5th round pick, give up a 6th By: Mike Krueger | Oct 29 2024, 2:08 pm
Trade: Carolina is sending wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN. Comp update: It’s a pick flop, with the Panthers getting a 5th-round pick for Diontae Johnson and a 6th, per sources. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Ravens bolster their offense by acquiring Johnson in a pick swap with the Panthers. This is good move for Lamar Jackson's value, who is already the No.1 quarterback in fantasy football. In Baltimore, Johnson will have to compete with Zay Flowers for targets along with the running game of Jackson and Derrick Henry. It's fair to wonder if he's going to get enough targets to see his fantasy value increase.

| ACL injury confirmed for Stefon Diggs Out for the season By: Mike Krueger | Oct 29 2024, 1:36 pm
A big loss: Texans WR Stefon Diggs suffered a season-ending knee injury Sunday vs. the Colts. What makes the season-ending torn ACL worse for Stefon Diggs is that he is on an expiring contract and set to become a free agent this off-season. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Texans have missed Nico Collins for the last couple games and will now be without Diggs for the rest of the season. Tank Dell has been a disappointment this season but is going to be needed even more now beginning Thursday night against the Jets. Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods and John Metchie are next up on the depth chart.

| Jordan Love dealing with a groin strain Day-to-day By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 7:10 pm
Source: #Packers QB Jordan Love’s MRI came back with some good news. It’s a strained groin, nothing major.
No surprise. He’ll get better every day and do treatment and monitor throughout the week. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: Love has not been able to catch much of a break yet from the injury gods yet this season, dealing with this injury about a month after returning from a Week 1 knee issue. The Utah State product is coming off his worst game of the season - in part because he was hobbled by his groin injury early and exited the game for good early in the second half. While backup Malik Willis has played well when called upon this season, the Packers likely need Love to have any chance to go toe-to-toe with the Lions in Week 9.

| Anthony Richardson may not start in Week 9 HC: "We're evaluating everything." By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 7:00 pm
Colts HC Shane Steichen was asked directly if QB Anthony Richardson will start Sunday against the #Vikings and he was noncommittal:
"We're evaluating everything." (The Athletic - James Boyd)
FFToday's Take: Richardson finished 10-of-32 for 175 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Week 8, which falls in line with most of his box scores this season. Much as has been the case all season, he wasn't nearly as inaccurate as his final line suggests and didn't get a lot of help from his teammates in some critical situations. With that said, HC Shane Steichen has already seen plenty of proof that the offense works much better with Joe Flacco right now. Consider Richardson's status as a 50-50 proposition heading into Week 9 against the Vikings.

| Stefon Diggs likely to miss some time Scheduled to undergo an MRI on Week 8 knee injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 6:30 pm
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a non-contact knee injury late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Colts.
He was attempting to run a route when he grabbed at his right knee. Trainers checked on him for several minutes. He was able to walk off on his own power after a few minutes, but headed straight for the locker room after getting up.
He was later ruled out in the fourth quarter for the remainder of the game and never returned to the sideline. (Houston Chronicle)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers should expect Diggs to land on IR. At the very least, it seems highly unlikely he will be able to play Thursday against the Jets. With Nico Collins (hamstring) still one week away from being eligible to return and Diggs almost certainly out for Week 9, Tank Dell should be expected to be featured against the Jets' tough secondary. Robert Woods, John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson are all also in play in deeper leagues, but Dell and Dalton Schultz will likely be the only pass-catchers worth using in most formats this week.
| DK Metcalf trending toward a Week 9 return Missed Week 8 with knee injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 6:20 pm
Mike Macdonald again says it's “looking optimistic" that DK Metcalf will be back this week. But they need to see him practice first, then go from there. (Michael-Shawn Dugar on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Metcalf was reportedly close to playing in Week 8 before the team thought better of it. At the very least, it speaks to the likelihood that Metcalf will be able to go in Week 9 against the Rams. Los Angeles has shored up some of its issues on the back end of its defense in recent weeks, but a trip to Seattle to face one of the more pass-happy teams in the league could be more than it can handle. If Metcalf plays, fantasy managers should be confident in his ability to perform at a WR2 level at worst.

| Christian Kirk out for the season, broken collarbone Jags wideout was on the trade market By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2024, 9:14 pm
#Jaguars WR Christian Kirk suffered a broken collarbone today, per source. Expected to miss the rest of the season. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Rumors surrounding a potential trade involving Kirk had been circulating this week. This injury will obviously prevent any deal from happening. The Jags used both of their tight ends in the passing game today including backup Brenton Strange (5-59-0) who saw 5 targets. The passing game will continue to focus on Brian Thomas Jr and TE Evan Engram moving forward.
| Tee Higgins Inactive for Week 8, quad injury Third missed game this season By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2024, 11:15 am
#Bengals WR Tee Higgins will be inactive today against the #Eagles.
Higgins pulled his quad running a route on air in practice Friday. He wanted to play today but just couldn’t do it physically. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Oooof. This will be the third game Higgins has missed this season. He injured his hamstring in the week leading up to Week 1 which caused him to miss two games and now this. Andrei Iosivas becomes a viable option Flex option in deep leagues.
| Deebo Samuel expected to play Week 8 Illness By: Mike Krueger | Oct 26 2024, 11:12 pm
49ers WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable for Sunday night due a wrist injury and the illness that left him hospitalized last week, is expected to play vs. the Cowboys, per source. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Deebo logged a grand total of 4 snaps last week and was later hospitalized with pneumonia. How much stamina he has this week is anybody's guess. The 49ers and Cowboys play Sunday which adds another wrinkle for fantasy owners. He'll be an uneasy WR2 play in Week 8.
| Jonathan Taylor expected to play in Week 8 Off the injury report By: Mike Krueger | Oct 25 2024, 3:49 pm
#Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is officially off the injury report and good to go Sunday vs. Houston.
WRs Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr. also will play. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Taylor has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle but will make his return in Week 8 against the Texans. There's been no indication of a limited role but the matchup isn't great as the Texans have given up the 4th fewest fantasy points to the position. He's in the RB2 range for this week.
