Stefon Diggs in hot water
WR facing multiple charges for an alleged Dec. 2 incident
By: Doug Orth | Dec 30 2025, 11:55 pm

Stefon Diggs is facing serious criminal charges, Boston 25 News has learned. Diggs is charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an incident on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Diggs’ attorney, Michael DiStefano, made a remote appearance in Dedham District Court on Tuesday, seeking to have the police report impounded, arguing that the details should remain sealed. DiStefano also disclosed to the court that Diggs has made a financial offer to resolve the dispute with the alleged victim in this case. The judge said she’d take the request under advisement before allowing the release of a police narrative, which revealed disturbing allegations of violence against a woman who claimed to be Diggs’ personal chef. FFToday's Take: About the only good news stemming from this incident is that everyone appears to be fine. From a pure football perspective, the last thing that the Patriots need as they begin the playoffs next week is a distraction like this hanging over their heads. It also marks at least the second time that Diggs has exercised poor judgment since he signed with the team last offseason. Expect more details in the coming days and weeks.
