Omarion Hampton likely to return in Week 14?
Rookie RB has been sidelined with ankle injury since Week 5
By: Doug Orth | Dec 2 2025, 11:00 pm

An update: It’s currently viewed as likely that #Chargers starting running back Omarion Hampton, who has missed the last seven games with an ankle injury, will be able return to action and play next Monday when the team faces the #Eagles, sources tell @CBSSports (CBS Sports - Matt Zenitz)

FFToday's Take: For the relatively few fantasy managers that have been able to survive (or thrive) without Hampton in their lineups over the last two months, the timing of this news couldn't be much better. Hampton was quickly emerging as a high-end RB1 in fantasy before suffering what appeared to be a relatively innocuous ankle injury. While there is certainly reason to fear he could get eased in after such a long layoff, we saw Bucky Irving reclaim his backfield for the Bucs just last week. His return comes with risk for his fantasy managers as the Chargers don't play until Monday night. However, he will almost certainly return as the primary back in Week 14 against a defense that just gave up a combined 255 rushing yards to Chicago running backs last week.
