WR Mike Williams calls is quits
Eight seasons in the NFL
By: Mike Krueger | Jul 17 2025, 1:45 pm

Sources: Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams’ agent Tory Dandy informed the team last night that, after eight seasons, his client is retiring from the NFL. Williams walks away from the game at age 30. (Adam Schefter on X)

FFToday's Take: Williams was placed on the PUP list a few days ago but has decided to end his time in the NFL, mostly spent with the Chargers. His best season came in 2021 when he finished with a 76-1146-9 line. The top of the Chargers wide receiver depth chart includes Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and rookie Tre Harris who has yet to sign his contract.
