| Cardinals keep A.J. Green on one-year deal 33 year-old receiver back for another season By: Mike Krueger | Apr 14 2022, 3:16 pm
Cardinals announced they have reached agreement with WR A.J. Green on a one-year contract. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: After 10 seasons in the league, Green isn't going to command the fantasy attention he did during his prime in Cincinnati. He will fill a supporting cast role behind DeAndre Hopkins and may lose targets in the offense to Rondale Moore if Moore becomes more of a focal point in 2022. Arizona lost Christian Kirk to the Jaguars in free agency.

| Packers start rebuilding their WR depth, add Sammy Watkins One-year deal worth up to $4 million By: Mike Krueger | Apr 14 2022, 2:13 pm
Packers are giving former Ravens’ WR Sammy Watkins a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Green Bay lost Davante Adams (LV) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (KC) this off-season leaving them extremely thin at the wide receiver position. Watkins will help add some veteran depth at a position the Packers are likely to focus on in the upcoming draft. This is a decent spot for his fantasy value but it's hard to get excited about a player who's lacked consistency the last four years. Watkins best fantasy season (60-1047-9) was back in 2015 with the Bills.

| Dwayne Haskins dead after being hit by a car in Florida Was working out with his Steelers teammates this weekend By: Mike Krueger | Apr 9 2022, 10:58 am
Dwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Haskins last appeared on the field for Washington in 2020 playing in 7 games and was a member of the Steelers in 2021 but never got solid footing in the NFL. He was drafted in the middle of Round 1 (pick No.15) by Washington in 2019. He was reportedly working out with his Steelers teammates this weekend.

| Stefon Diggs gets extension from BUF, $70 million guaranteed Diggs' contract now runs through 2027 By: Mike Krueger | Apr 6 2022, 8:00 am
Josh Allen will be working with his favorite weapon for years to come, as the Buffalo Bills have reached agreement with wide receiver Stefon Diggs on a four-year, $104 million extension that includes $70 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. With two years remaining on his existing deal, Diggs' contract now runs through 2027. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: At age 28, it's safe to say that this will keep Diggs in Buffalo for the remainder of his WR1 days in the league. The wide receiver market has taken off this off-season and with the salary cap likely to move higher in the coming years, it makes sense for Buffalo to give Diggs this extension. Diggs' dynasty value remains stable for the foreseeable future.

| Trade: Eagles and Saints swap first round draft picks Eagles still have two first round picks, 15 & 18 By: Mike Krueger | Apr 4 2022, 4:00 pm
TRADE: Eagles sending picks No. 16, No. 19 and No. 194 in the sixth round to the Saints in exchange for pick No. 18, No. 101 in the third round, No. 237 in the 7th round AND a 2023 first-round pick and 2024 second-round pick, per sources.
Saints now at 16, 19; Eagles at 15, 18. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: On paper, this move seems to favor the Eagles (if you ignore the time value) as they basically traded the 16th pick for a 2022 third-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick and a second-round pick in 2024. This still leaves the Eagles with two picks in the first round of this year's draft (15 & 18). It's unclear what the Saints angle is here... are they eying a QB?

| Patriots acquire DeVante Paker from Dolphins Miami gets 2023 third-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Apr 2 2022, 1:07 pm
Patriots acquiring WR DeVante Parker and a 2022 fifth-round pick from Dolphins in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick, per
@AdamSchefter.
Patriots expecting an extra 2023 third-round pick (compensatory) after losing J.C. Jackson.
Parker has two years remaining on contract. (Mike Reiss on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Parker became a luxury after the Dolphins acquired Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs. The Dolphins are now down to just four picks in the upcoming draft (3.38, 4.20, 7.03, 7.26). New England's top receivers now include Parker, Nelson Agholor, Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne.

| Taysom Hill will focus on tight end Playing in a utility role appears to Taysom's future By: Mike Krueger | Mar 29 2022, 8:22 am
Dennis Allen says the plan is to have Taysom Hill focus on tight end. (Nick Underhill on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Jameis Winston back in the mix and Dennis Allen as the new head coach, it appears Hill's time at quarterback is coming to an end. Hill completed 58.2 percent of his 134 attempts in 2021 to go along with 4 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Playing in a utility role appears to Taysom's future.

| Chiefs add Ronald Jones to running back room One-year deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 26 2022, 10:29 am
The #Chiefs plan to sign former #Bucs RB Ronald Jones to a one-year deal, per source.
Jones had two seasons with 1,000 yards from scrimmage in Tampa Bay and should have ample opportunities in KC. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It's interesting the Chiefs have yet to engage with Jerick McKinnon who was easily their most productive running back the last few weeks of the season. Instead, they sign Jones who should slide right into the No.2 running back role behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Jones was limited to 101 rushing attempts last season behind Leonard Fournette.
| Chiefs sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling to three-year deal $18 million in the first two years By: Mike Krueger | Mar 24 2022, 3:50 pm
The #Chiefs are signing former #Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a three-year, $30 million deal with $18 million in the first two years and incentives to reach a maximum of $36 million, his agents @NSAFootball tell @RapSheet and me. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Chiefs have a huge a hole to fill at receiver after losing Tyreek Hill (MIA), Byron Pringle (CHI) and Demarcus Robinson (LV). MVS will bring the speed element to the offense but never established any consistency in Green Bay. His best season was in 2020 when he finished with a 33-690-6 line. Expect KC to be targeting the wide receiver position in the draft.
| Chiefs trade Tyreek Hill to Miami for 5 draft picks 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) By: Mike Krueger | Mar 23 2022, 12:34 pm
Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The off-season leading up to the 2022 season hasn't disappointed.
In yet another blockbuster move across the league the Dolphins have landed one of the best receivers in the league. There won't be many excuses for Tua Tagovailoa and the fantasy implications for both teams are significant. This shine will come off Jaylen Waddle while the Chiefs have a massive void at receiver even with the signing of JuJu Smith-Schuster. Expect KC to be looking at receivers in the upcoming draft.

| Leonard Fournette stays in Tampa Bay, three-year deal $21 million deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 22 2022, 8:39 am
Running back Leonard Fournette, who spent Monday visiting with the New England Patriots, is re-signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a three-year, $21 million deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday. The deal includes $11 million guaranteed. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Fournette re-established his ability as a pass-catcher last season (69 receptions) which vaulted him to a RB4 finish in PPR leagues. He ended up missing some time at the end of the season with a hamstring injury. Working as the lead back in the Bucs offense should do wonders for his fantasy value and will likely be among the top 12 running backs taken in redraft leagues this summer.

| Falcons agree on two-year deal with Marcus Mariota Reunites with Head Coach Arthur Smith By: Mike Krueger | Mar 21 2022, 3:36 pm
We have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with QB Marcus Mariota. (Falcons on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: After shipping Matt Ryan off the Indianapolis, the Falcons will pencil in Mariota as the starter for 2022. The passing weapons are thin for the former Raider with only Kyle Pitts as a legitimate option. Mariota does bring some juice with his legs which will give his fantasy value a nice boost. The Falcons should still kick the tires on rookie quarterbacks in next month's NFL Draft.
| Saints re-sign Jameis Winston, two-year deal $21M guaranteed By: Mike Krueger | Mar 21 2022, 2:30 pm
The #Saints are re-signing QB Jameis Winston to a two-year deal with a base value of $28 million, including $21M guaranteed, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
So after missing out on Deshaun Watson, New Orleans turns to an old friend at QB. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Saints were one of a couple teams still lookin for a starting quarterback for 2022 (ATL, CAR?). With all the big-name QBs off the market, New Orleans turns to a familiar face. Winston is coming off an ACL tear in 2021 that limited him to seven games. Michael Thomas is expected back in the mix, but it'd difficult to get excited about Winston as a fantasy prospect in redraft leagues.
| Colts and Falcons work out trade for Matt Ryan Falcons receive 2022 third-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Mar 21 2022, 1:44 pm
Done deal: The #Falcons are trading former NFL MVP Matt Ryan to the #Colts for a 2022 third-round pick, sources tell me,
@RapSheet and @MikeGarafolo. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The QB carousel continues to turn. The Colts shipped off Carson Wentz to the Commanders earlier this month leaving them in the market for a quarterback. They land on 37 year-old Ryan who has spent the first 14 years of his career in Atlanta. Ryan inherits a run-first attack which along with his lack of mobility, keeps his fantasy value in the QB2 range.

| Seattle keeps Rashaad Penny on one-year deal RB turned down more money elsewhere By: Mike Krueger | Mar 20 2022, 3:05 pm
Sources: The #Seahawks are in agreement on a 1-year deal with one of their own - RB Rashaad Penny. The former first-rounder turned down more money elsewhere to build off his stellar second half of 2021. He gets $5.75M with ability to earn up to $6.5M. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We're back to debating the Chris Carson, Penny committee in Seattle again. Both players have had their share of injury issues during their careers. Carson is recovering from neck surgery that limited him to four games in 2021. Penny missed all but three games in 2020 and has yet to play a full season in his four-year career. Both are shaping up to be mid-round fantasy selections in redraft leagues.

| Cordarrelle Patterson returns to the Falcons Coming off career-highs in touches, yards and TDs By: Mike Krueger | Mar 19 2022, 12:22 pm
The #Falcons have agreed to terms with WR/RB/S Cordarrelle Patterson for the do-everything guy to return to Atlanta, source says.
Arthur Smith, Dave Ragone & Co. keep a key offensive piece coming off career-highs in touches (205), yards from scrimmage (1166) and TDs (11). (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: At age 31, Patterson turned into a do-it-all weapon for the Falcons last season, carrying the ball 153 times and adding 52 receptions while scoring 11 times. With only Damien Williams added on the offensive side of the ball, and losing Calvin Ridley to suspension, Patterson could once again be a primary force on offense.

| JuJu Smith-Schuster headed to KC One-year deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 18 2022, 4:24 pm
JuJu Smith-Schuster is signing a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, per source. Patrick Mahomes gets a new weapon opposite Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Chiefs were connected to JuJu last off-season and finally get their man, filling the No.2 wide receiver role in KC. Byron Pringle signed a deal with the Bears yesterday leaving a void at the position. This move shouldn't deter the Chiefs from addressing the position in the upcoming draft. JuJu will some weekly Flex appeal in fantasy as long as he remains healthy.

| Deshaun Watson OK with Cleveland after all Texans, Browns workout a trade for Watson By: Mike Krueger | Mar 18 2022, 4:05 pm
Deshaun Watson chooses Browns in a stunning turn of events: Browns give up 3 first-round picks, a 3rd and 5th and signing him to a 5-year, $230M guaranteed new deal. (Cleveland.com)
FFToday's Take: The conventional wisdom was that the Saints and Falcons were the only teams left on Watson's short list. Instead, Watson has waived his no-trade clause for the Browns. He still faces a potential suspension from the league regarding his off-field issues. The Browns recently acquired Amari Cooper from the Cowboys and will likely trade Baker Mayfield in the coming days.

| Ohh my, Packers trade Davante Adams to Raiders Green Bay receives 2022 first- and second-round picks By: Mike Krueger | Mar 17 2022, 7:30 pm
Blockbuster: Packers are trading Pro-Bowl WR Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders for two prime 2022 picks, league sources tell ESPN. Packers are getting back 2022 first- and second-round picks in return for Davante Adams. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It's been reported that Aaron Rodgers knew of the Davante Adams deal before he decided to return to Green Bay. Adams apparently wanted out and had a desire to play with his old college quarterback Derek Carr. The Rodgers to Adams connection was special and it's hard to envision Adams putting up similar numbers with the Raiders. This move will also deflate the value of Rodgers regardless of what wide receiver Green Bay pulls in via free agency.

| Rams sign Allen Robinson, still interested in OBJ Three-year deal, $30 million guaranteed By: Mike Krueger | Mar 17 2022, 3:45 pm
Rams are giving former Bears’ WR Allen Robinson a three-year, $45 million deal that includes $30 million guaranteed, per source.
Rams still have money left over for Odell Beckham Jr. and hope to re-sign him, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We know Beckham is recovering from yet another ACL injury to the same knee potentially giving Robinson an early season opportunity to develop his chemistry with Matthew Stafford. Robert Woods should be in the mix as well. Robinson was a huge disappointment in 2021 coming in with a 38-410-1 line in twelve games and taking a backseat to Darnell Mooney late in the season. If anybody needed a change of scenery, it's Robinson.

| Titans release Julio Jones Post-June 1 designation By: Mike Krueger | Mar 16 2022, 4:04 pm
By releasing Julio Jones with a post-June 1 designation, the #Titans save $11.513 million in 2022 cash and salary cap space. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We know the drill with Julio. He's a physical specimen but isn't capable of staying healthy and has trouble playing a full allotment of snaps when he is active. He posted a 31-434-1 line in ten games last season for Tennessee. His fantasy value will be limited next season regardless of where he lands.
| J.D. McKissic dumps Buffalo, headed back to Washington RB will continue to be a thorn in the side of Gibson's fantasy value By: Mike Krueger | Mar 16 2022, 1:25 pm
RB J.D. McKissic - who intended to sign a two-year, $7 million deal with the Buffalo Bills - changed his mind and is instead returning to Washington for the same compensation, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This is the second switcheroo in as many days. Randy Gregory originally was going to stay in Dallas, then changed him mind and signed a deal with Denver. It was reported yesterday that McKissic was going to play in Buffalo this season but in fact, he will return to Washington and continue to be a thorn in the side of Antonio Gibson's PPR value.

| Browns expected to release TE Austin Hooper Post-June-1 designation By: Mike Krueger | Mar 16 2022, 10:25 am
Source: The #Browns are going to release TE Austin Hooper as a post-June-1 designation.
A 27-year-old dual-threat tight end and two-time Pro Bowler will be on the market. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Browns recently placed the franchise tag on David Njoku and have a younger Harrison Bryant capable of filling the TE2 role making the more expensive Hooper a luxury. Hooper still has two years left on his deal and designating him a post-June 1st cut will save some $ on the dead cap hit. Hooper will land a gig elsewhere but his fantasy value isn't likely to be anything more than a mid-range TE2.

| Lions pickup D.J. Chark on one-year deal Only played in three games last season due to a broken ankle By: Mike Krueger | Mar 15 2022, 8:07 am
Former Jaguars’ WR D.J. Chark intends to sign a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Jaguars signing Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and tight end Evan Engram they are overhauling their receiving corps. There are also rumors that Laviska Shenault is on the trading block. For Detroit, Chark will join the re-signed Josh Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown in the receiver room. Chark only played in three games last season due to a broken ankle.

| Steelers give two-year deal to QB Mitchell Trubisky Will get a chance to start By: Mike Krueger | Mar 14 2022, 1:01 pm
Mitchell Trubisky is getting a second chance to start in the NFL.
The former Bears first-round pick agreed to sign a two-year deal with the Steelers on Monday, per NFL Network, on the first day that teams were negotiate with player agents. It cannot be made official until the start of the league year Wednesday. But when it happens, Trubisky will get an opportunity he wasn’t afforded last year - to prove he can start. (Chicago Sun Times)
FFToday's Take: Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins (RFA) are currently on the roster so we can currently pencil in Trubisky as the starter heading into off-season workouts. He's getting this opportunity due to the lack of depth at the position across the league. Should he be the starter Week 1, he'll have low-end QB2 fantasy value.
| James Conner sticking in Arizona, three-year deal $13.5M fully guaranteed By: Mike Krueger | Mar 14 2022, 12:12 pm
Cardinals are giving RB James Conner 3-year, $21 million deal that could grow to a maximum of $25.5 million and includes $13.5M fully guaranteed, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: James Conner surprised fantasy owners in 2021 by scoring 18 touchdowns for the Cardinals on his way to being the RB9 in PPR leagues. With Chase Edmonds heading to Miami, the 27 year-old Conner should be the lead back in the Arizona offense in 2022.
| Chase Edmonds heading to Miami Two-year deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 14 2022, 12:11 pm
Miami Dolphins and RB Chase Edmonds reached agreement on a two-year, $12.6 million deal that includes $6.1 million guaranteed, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus. The former Cardinals’ running back is headed to Miami. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Dolphins were using a RBBC last season that included Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, Phillip Lindsay, Duke Johnson and Malcolm Brown. Lindsay and Brown are both unrestricted free agents. It's safe to assume Edmonds will be part of a committee but hopefully it's just a committee of two, allowing for some weekly flex appeal.

| Tom Brady not cool with retirement, returns to Tampa Bay These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field By: Mike Krueger | Mar 13 2022, 7:13 pm
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG (Tom Brady on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: I'm sure we'll hear more about the reasoning but for now, Tom Brady is set to come back to the Bucs for the 2022 season. The timing allows for other Bucs free agents like Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski the option of knowing they'll have a competent quarterback next season. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin (ACL) will continue to reap the benefits in the fantasy production department.

| Michael Gallup gets extension, $27 million guaranteed Late-season ACL injury may hamper 2022 season By: Mike Krueger | Mar 13 2022, 7:09 pm
Cowboys and WR Michael Gallup have agreed to a five-year, $62.5 million extension with $27 million in guarantees, source said. (Michael Gehlken on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Cowboys have decided to let Amari Cooper go to Cleveland and give Gallup an extension. Remember, Gallup is coming of a late-season ACL tear and is questionable for Week 1. When he's able to step on the field, he'll be the Dak Prescott's second option behind CeeDee Lamb.
| Amari Cooper headed to Cleveland Cowboys get 2022 fifth-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Mar 12 2022, 2:00 pm
Dallas Cowboys agree to trade wide receiver Amari Cooper to Cleveland Browns, sources say. The Dallas Cowboys agreed to trade wide receiver Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 2022 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
The deal is pending a physical and should be finalized by the middle of next week. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: We've been hearing over the last few weeks that Cooper's time in Dallas may be coming to end and it looks like it will be made official next week. The Browns failed to make Odell Beckham Jr. a thing over the last three years and will now try their luck with Cooper. With Baker Mayfield still at quarterback, it's difficult to get excited about Cooper's fantasy prospects. Jarvis Landry has permission to seek a trade.
| Colts trade Carson Wentz to Commanders Colts get 2nd round, 3rd round pick in 2022, 3rd in 2023 By: Mike Krueger | Mar 9 2022, 2:23 pm
Colts are trading QB Carson Wentz to Washington for a package of packs that is thought to include two third-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Washington is paying the full $28 million due to Carson Wentz this year, which includes a $5 million roster bonus due next week. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Colts are getting a 2nd round and 3rd round pick in 2022, along with a 3rd round pick in 2023. The Commanders will get Wentz and a 2022 second round pick. Wentz lasted one season in Indianapolis and had a brutal game to close out the regular season, a loss to the Jaguars which kept the Colts out of the playoffs. Wentz is a marginal fantasy asset, best as a QB2 in redraft leagues.

| Bucs place franchise tag on WR Chris Godwin Both sides working on long-term deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 8 2022, 3:07 pm
Bucs and WR Chris Godwin did not reach a long-term deal today and he now will be tagged, officially, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The two sides are working on a long-term deal but haven't reached an agreement yet. If Godwin were to remain on the franchise tag, he would earn $19.2 million in 2022. Godwin tore his ACL in mid-December so he'll be on a tight timeline in order to make it back for the start of the 2022 season. The question is, who will be playing quarterback for the Bucs?

| Russell Wilson headed to Denver in blockbuster deal Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, two first-round picks to SEA By: Mike Krueger | Mar 8 2022, 2:17 pm
Blockbuster: After weeks of negotiations, in one of the largest trades in NFL history, the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos have agreed to terms for a deal involving Super-Bowl winning QB Russell Wilson, sources tell ESPN. Trade is pending a physical and Wilson’s approval. Trade package:
Seattle gets QB Drew Lock, TE Noah Fant, DL Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick.
Denver gets Russell Wilson and a fourth-round pick. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This is a monster deal for both teams but leaves the Seahawks without a proven quarterback. The Broncos have been QB shopping for the better part of two years and finally get a proven NFL QB in Wilson. Despite losing an athletic tight end in Fant, Wilson will have Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton on the outside. Albert Okwuegbunam is likely to become a fantasy darling among touts.

| Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers agree on new deal 4-year, $200M deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 8 2022, 11:26 am
The #Packers and MVP QB Aaron Rodgers have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $200M deal that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history, sources say. He gets a whopping $153M guaranteed and his cap number goes down. A monstrous commitment by GB for years to come. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Rodgers will be staying put in Green Bay likely for the remainder of his career as he will be 42 years old when this contract is complete. This deal signals that Davante Adams will be retained, likely through a franchise tag, keeping Rodgers' security blanked in tact. Rodgers was the QB11 in 2021 with a 4115-37-4 line. With Rodgers off the market, it has been reported that the Broncos will be looking at Russell Wilson in a possible trade.

| Cowboys place franchise tag on TE Dalton Schultz Coming off his best season By: Mike Krueger | Mar 8 2022, 10:01 am
The Cowboys are franchise tagging TE Dalton Schultz, source said, keeping another playmaker in the fold. Coming off his best season, Schultz now is locked in for 2022 with a long-term deal the hope in the future. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Cowboys have until July 15th to work out a long-term deal or else Schultz will make $10.9 million in 2022. Schultz was a nice surprise at the position in 2021 finishing as the TE5 in PPR leagues with a 78-808-8 line. With a recent hip surgery for Blake Jarwin, Schultz should be the Dallas tight end to target for fantasy owners in 2022.
| Dolphins place franchise tag on TE Mike Gesicki $10.93M if he doesn't sign a long-term deal before July 15th By: Mike Krueger | Mar 8 2022, 9:00 am
The Dolphins have placed the franchise tag on TE Mike Gesicki, source says. TE franchise tag is $10.93M. Gesicki played more snaps out of the slot than any other TE in 2021 as he set career highs in yards/catches. He considers himself a big slot WR & rarely does much in-line blocking. He’ll go down as TE franchise tag # though unless he files & wins a grievance. (Cameron Wolfe on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Despite catching 20 more passes, accumulating 73 more yards and running most of routes off the line of scrimmage, Gesicki actually didn't match his fantasy output from 2020 due largely to four fewer touchdowns. His 73 receptions were a career high. Gesicki should be a low TE1 option in 2022, especially in PPR leagues.

| Calvin Ridley suspended for betting on games Will miss the 2022 season By: Mike Krueger | Mar 7 2022, 3:40 pm
The NFL is suspending #Falcons WR Calvin Ridley indefinitely for at least the 2022 season for gambling on NFL games after he left the team last season. Ridley was away from the team facility when he made the bets during a five-day period last November. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Ridley missed games 12 for personal reasons last season and will now miss all of 2022. This coming off a fantastic season in 2020 where he finished with a 90-1374-9 line, checking in as fantasy's No.4 receiver. Ridley is eligible for reinstatement on February 15th, 2023. The Falcons have a massive hole to fill in their receiving corps.

| Browns place franchise tag on TE David Njoku Both sides working on long-term deal By: Mike Krueger | Mar 7 2022, 12:05 pm
Source: The #Browns tagged TE David Njoku. The first one. The #Browns and David Njoku’s agent Malki Kawa have been in long-term negotiations on an extension. The hope is the tag is a place holder for an eventual deal. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The tag will guarantee Njoku roughly $11 million in 2022 if the sides can't come to terms on a long-term deal. Njoku is still just 25 years old but hasn't come close to his ceiling. His 36-475-4 line last season ranked him 23rd among tight ends in fantasy points per game. Austin Hooper is in the middle of his four-year $42 million deal signed in March of 2020.

| Cole Beasley allowed to seek trade Team would welcome him back if he can't find a trade partner By: Mike Krueger | Mar 4 2022, 1:19 pm
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork: The #Bills have granted permission for WR Cole Beasley to seek a trade, though GM Brandon Beane told me late yesterday the team would welcome him back and “no door has been closed.” (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: In Buffalo, Beasley is likely to be fourth in the pecking order next season behind Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and TE Dawson Knox. The soon-to-be 33 year-old matched his reception total in 2020 (82) but saw his yardage total dip to 693 with only 1 TD in 2021. He'll be off the fantasy radar for the foreseeable future.

| Cowboys likely to release Amari Cooper Cooper is due $20 million fully guaranteed on March 20th By: Mike Krueger | Mar 4 2022, 10:38 am

Cowboys are “likely” to release WR Amari Cooper by the start of the new league year, per league sources.
Cooper is due $20 million in fully guaranteed money on the fifth day of the new league year, March 20. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Cooper was wildly inconsistent during his 2021 campaign which saw him miss a couple games due to Covid-19. His 865 yards broke a string of the three consecutive seasons over 1000 receiving yards. Cooper will turn 28 this June and should have plenty of suitors if he becomes a free agent. CeeDee Lamb is set to become the true No.1 receiver in Dallas.
