FFToday's Take: Thousands of fantasy managers were burned by Taylor's decision to basically put Higgins on ice Sunday night, as the receiver logged only 10 offensive snaps in an important division game after being limited in practice all week and listed as questionable on the injury report. Keep a closer eye on the team's injury report this week and make sure he gets a full practice in at some point. In theory, Hayden Hurst and Tyler Boyd stand to benefit the most in Week 6 against the Saints if Higgins doesn't see much improvement in his ankle.

The Buccaneers haven’t gotten much from receiver Julio Jones in September and October. They’re apparently not trying to. Via JoeBucsFan.com, GM Jason Licht said before Sunday’ game that the team is “playing the long game here a little bit” with the veteran receiver, with the goal of having him healthy late in the year. Coach Todd Bowles agreed with that assessment on Monday.
“Yeah, I think we are,” Bowles told reporters. “Again, just like Jason said, we want him fully healthy and not coming out for a week and then missing another couple [of] weeks. We think we’ve got enough guys right now to weather that storm.” (Pro Football Talk - Mike Florio)
FFToday's Take: Jones proved he still has some explosiveness left in Week 1. Unfortunately, he partially tore his PCL in the next game, providing further evidence to the folks in the "injury-prone crowd" that he can't stay healthy anymore. The Buccaneers are taking the wise approach here. It would appear Jones is closer to returning than not as he has logged five limited practices over the last two weeks. When he returns, managers may finally get the WR3 upside they were hoping from him … if he can stay healthy.

If Taylor plays Thursday, expectations need to be lowered.

Turf toe injuries tend to linger, so it might not be the worst idea to find the most passionate fan of Burks in your league and see if you can unload him for a player such as Jakobi Meyers.

FFToday's Take: While the fact this change is happening isn't surprising at all, the timing of it is. The most logical time for the switch would have been after the Week 9 bye with the bills, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Eagles next on the schedule. With that said, HC Mike Tomlin probably understood he couldn't stand pat with Mitchell Trubisky and risk going 1-7 heading into that off week. Pickett won't be anything more than a middling QB2 option against that slate, but he could emerge as a decent QB2 over the second half of the season.

Matt Rhule said it's a quad injury for Christian McCaffrey. Didn't know about it until after Saints' game. Wouldn't speculate on his status for this week. (Joe Person on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: McCaffrey did some rehab work on Wednesday. At this point it doesn't appear to be anything serious but we'll have a better idea after practice tomorrow.

Kingsbury said he is hopeful that WR Rondale Moore can give the Cardinals something Sunday, although it may be limited given how much time he has been out.

FFToday's Take: Moore has been battling a hamstring injury and has yet to play this season. It sounds like he's going to give it a go this week but may be limited. The passing offense should continue to flow through Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch and TE Zach Ertz in Week 4.
