Breece Hall

Breece Hall @ DEN

The schedule finally lets up a little for the Jets this week as they take on a Bronco defense hemorrhaging fantasy points to nearly every position. The Denver defense let Chicago jump start it's moribund offense last week, as Khalil Herbert went for 100+ yards after barely being able to get to 30 yards a game. New York can’t rely on Zach Wilson catching lightning in a bottle two weeks straight, so look for them to establish Hall early and often. This is the same field he tore his ACL on last season, so look for the revenge factor to add some extra motivation.

Josh Jacobs vs GB

Although he’s still struggling to hit the big play, Jacobs had his best game of the year last week against the Chargers. He continues to be propped up by his passing game usage, and with uncertainty at quarterback, Jacobs should see 25+ touches against a Packers front that got pushed around against Detroit. Volume, not necessarily efficiency, holds value for Jacobs.

Joe Mixon @ ARI

The Cardinals have played inspired football so far this season after many expected them to be the doormats of the NFL. Unfortunately, they’ve had a tendency to fade in the 2nd half of games as the opposing run games are able to grind them out. They have yielded the 2nd highest yards-per-carry (5.3) and the third-most fantasy points to the position. Mixon is dominating work out of the backfield and has been surprisingly efficient. This Bengal offense is dysfunctional, but on volume alone Mixon is a RB2.

Rhamondre Stevenson vs NO

After a tidy PPR performance in Week 1, Stevenson and this entire Patriot offense has been a disaster. His yards-per-carry average has been cut in half from last season, and he hasn’t topped 10 receiving yards since opening day. if the PPR value dries up, it’s safe to wonder how long you can keep trotting him out as anything more than a low-end FLEX.

Colts RBs vs TEN

Will Jonathan Taylor see a few touches after returning to practice this week or will Zack Moss continue to carry the mail? Either way this Titan defense eats running games for lunch, as Mixon’s 67 yards last week were the most they’ve given up to a runner all season. The matchup and muddled touch distribution makes this a backfield to avoid in Week 5.

Tyler Allgeier vs HOU

After a monster Week 1 performance it looked like Tyler Allgeier would maintain a decent role in the backfield even with the drafting of Bijan Robinson. That 15-75-2 line looks like a lifetime ago, as Allgeier has seen only 14 combined rush attempts the last two weeks. In games where Atlanta gets and maintains a lead, Allgeier is much more likely to return value, but with Desmond Ritter playing poorly, and an explosive Houston offense coming to town, there is just too much volume variance to trust Allgeier in your lineup.
