2025 Outlook
Depth Chart
For the first time since the Bush administration, Green Bay spent 1st round capital on a receiver. While that may have left Aaron Rodgers stretching his head, Jordan Love should benefit greatly from Golden's skillset. He's a strong route runner, has the speed to command safety help, and more importantly, can play the X, Z, and slot, which is especially important if he plans on carving out space in this offense. He's landed in a prime spot for long term fantasy relevance, and there's the catch. Unless this receiver core is trimmed by injury or otherwise, it's hard to see a path where Golden leads this team in receptions. He's a fantastic long-term hold for the season, but I think his biggest value is in 2026 and beyond, making him at best a late-round stash in non-dynasty leagues.

Injury Matthew Golden to sit Week 10
First-round pick nursing a shoulder injury
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 10, 7:10 pm

Green Bay Packers
Packers WR Matthew Golden, who is questionable with a shoulder injury, is not expected to play tonight against the Eagles, per source. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)

FFToday's Take: Golden has since been put on the team's inactive list for this game, which means the Green Bay passing attack will rely heavily on Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson versus the Eagles. It has been a mostly disappointing season for the rookie, who appeared to be on the verge of seeing more playing time after producing 102 total yards versus the Bengals in Week 6. Unfortunately, he has mustered only 50 yards in three games since.

Injury Torn ACL feared for Packers TE Tucker Kraft
Injured in Week 9 loss to Panthers
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 2, 4:50 pm

Green Bay Packers
The Packers fear tight end Tucker Kraft tore his right ACL during Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers, a source told ESPN. "It doesn't look good," LaFleur said shortly after the game. "It's going to be tough. But it's football. The other guys are going to have to step up." Kraft, the Packers' top pass catcher, suffered the injury in the third quarter and was ruled out of the game in the fourth. He is set to undergo additional testing Monday, according to Packers coach Matt LaFleur. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Kraft is a key part of the Packers passing attack and will be sorely missed if he's out for the season. WR Matthew Golden also left in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. Luke Musgrave is the next man up at the tight end position in Green Bay and will be worth a look on the waiver wire for tight end needy teams.

Injury Christian Watson expected to play in Week 8
Activated off injured reserve
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Oct 25, 3:13 pm

Green Bay Packers
Packers WR Christian Watson was activated off injured reserve and is expected to make his season debut Sunday night at Pittsburgh. (Adam Schefter on X)

FFToday's Take: Watson tore his ACL in January so he's a little more than 9 months removed from the injury. The Packers like to use a rotation at the position and it's unlikely Watson will see a full workload in his first game of the season. Dontayvion Wicks has been ruled Out with a calf injury and Matthew Golden is questionable with a hip issue.

Injury Broken collarbone for Jayden Reed
Expected to miss a big chunk of the season
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 11, 11:55 pm

Green Bay Packers
Jayden Reed is going to miss "a lot of time," LaFleur says. He suffered a broken collarbone. "It's a big blow to us. He's a guy that's a catalyst to our offense and the football team." (Bill Huber on X)

FFToday's Take: Reed's injury occurred the first quarter and will likely sideline him for roughly six weeks but we'll need further confirmation from the team. The Packers have their bye in Week 5. The top three receivers after Reed left the game were Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks however Green Bay has shown that it's willing to play a five-receiver rotation making it difficult for fantasy owners to get ceiling games from any one wideout.
