Jerry Jones says he’s optimistic about Jake Ferguson (knee) playing Sunday vs Saints. (Calvin Watkins on Twitter) FFToday's Take: Good ole Jerry might be optimistic, but that does not mean fantasy managers should be. Even the most minor MCL sprains tend to sideline players 2-4 weeks, so it would be a major upset for Ferguson to play through this injury. At the very least, he would not be a great candidate to create separation or do much with the ball in his hands once he got it. Managers would be wise to let him prove his health and go in another direction for at least one week. Luke Schoonmaker would likely draw the start if Ferguson is ruled out.

He'll be a person of interest on the waiver wire this week but it remains to be seen how much fantasy value he'll actually have. The team could lean more on Brandin Cooks in the coming weeks.
